Abstract
Penelitian ini menganalisis peran positif ASEAN dalam mengelola konflik Myanmar tahun 2007-2020. Dalam menganalisis peran positif ASEAN, penelitian ini menggunakan konsep regional international societies yang dalam konsep tersebut muncul regional solidarity yang mengacu pada rasa kebersamaan, saling kepercayaan, dan ikatan moral antarnegara dalam kawasan yang sama. Rasa solidaritas tersebut mengikat negara-negara anggota agar berkomitmen dengan sikap yang saling menghormati serta penyelesaian masalah secara damai. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mencoba untuk menyoroti peran ASEAN yang didasari solidaritas sehingga pertanyaan penelitiannya adalah Bagaimana Peran Positif ASEAN dalam mengelola konflik Myanmar Tahun 2007-2020?. Penelitian ini berargumen bahwa selama mengelola konflik Myanmar tahun 2007-2020, ASEAN menggunakan pendekatan secara solidaritas dan dialog dengan melakukan berbagai peran positifnya seperti peran dalam mengelola konflik saffron revolution, peran dalam masalah bantuan kemanusiaan asing pada topan nargis, mendorong demokrasi di Myanmar, dan peran dalam memberikan bantuan kemanusiaan pada kasus pelanggaran HAM terhadap etnis Rohingya
