Abstract

Wabah pandemi Covid-19 yang terdeteksi sejak awal Maret 2020 di Indonesia menyisakan sejumlah masalah, tidak terkecuali dengan keseimbangan antara kehidupan dan pekerjaan/ work life balance dimana perempuan yang bekerja akan mengalami beban ganda. Karena berada di rumah tentu suasana yang ada adalah suasana dimana semua pekerjaan rumah menuntut prioritas yang tinggi bahkan terkadan pekerjaan kantor manjadi terbaikan dengan pekerjaan rumah. Uniknya, meskipun mengalami beban ganda ternyata ada dosen perempuan yang mampu mencapai perolehan sebagai guru besar selama masa pandemik. Tentu saja hal ini menarik untuk diteliti bagaimana mereka menyeimbangkan keduanya. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa keseimbangan antara kehidupan dan pekerjaan ditandai dengan empat faktor sebagai berikut: Work Interference with Personal Life (WIPL), aspek yang paling mandasar yang menbedakan mana pekerjaan kantor dan mana pekerjaan individu. Personal Life Interference with Work (PLIW), aspek ini bagaimana aspek kehidupan individu mempengaruhi kehidupan pekerjaan. Personal Life Encancement of Work (PLEW), aspek ini pekrjaan yang mempengaruhi kehidupan individu. Work Enchancement of Personal Life (WEPL) aspek ini lebih pada sejauh mana dunia kerja mempengaruhi kemakmuran atau kesejahateran bagi individu atau di dalam pekerjaan. Keempat aspek tersebut berjalan sesuai dengan fungsinya masing-masing, kemampuan mengatur waktu dan pekerjaan merupakan kunci agar keduanya menjadi tetap seimbang.
