The Indonesian Journal of Adat Recht is a scholarly journal established in 2026 and published by the Institute for Research and Community Service at the University of Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya. The journal welcomes contributions from researchers, academics, authors, legal educators, legal theorists, and practitioners worldwide, encouraging the publication of critical analyses concerning Adat Law (Indonesian customary law), customary law in general, common law, legal culture, and local wisdom. The Indonesian Journal of Adat Recht is published biannually (in June and December). The editorial board may, at its discretion, issue special editions, either as part of the regular publication schedule or as supplementary issues, to address specific, timely, and emerging research topics that help bridge knowledge gaps within the fields of Adat Law, customary law, common law, legal culture, and local wisdom. All scholarly articles published in the Indonesian Journal of Adat Recht are in English. The journal is published in an electronic, open-access format.

Manuscripts that do not adhere to the submission guidelines or fail to follow the required formatting will be rejected prior to editorial review. The editorial staff will only accept manuscripts that meet the specified formatting requirements.

All submissions must be made exclusively through the Indonesian Journal of Adat Recht OJS (Open Journal Systems) platform. We do NOT accept submissions via email under any circumstances.

A Letter of Acceptance (LoA) is issued solely as a formal notification that a manuscript has been accepted.
