Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Masyarakat oleh Pesantren Darun Najah Kudus melalui Wakaf Tunai Community Economic Empowerment by Pesantren Darun Najah Kudus through Cash Waqf

Abstract

Pesantren Darun Najah Kudus faces challenges in managing cash waqf for the economic empowerment of surrounding communities experiencing unemployment and low welfare issues. This study aims to strengthen the legal aspects of pesantren as a cash waqf manager, improve the quality of cash waqf management, and promote community economic independence. Assistance was conducted using the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) method, which involves five stages: Discovery, Dream, Design, Define, and Destiny. Implementation was carried out in six phases, from reviewing and developing assistance scenarios to monitoring and evaluation. Activities involved female students as managers and La Tahzan religious study group members as beneficiaries. Results: For legal aspects, the pesantren was encouraged to register as a waqf nazhir with the Indonesian Waqf Board by meeting the requirements outlined in BWI Regulation Number 2 of 2010. Management was formulated into three aspects: fundraising, cash waqf management, and distribution. Community assistance was conducted through five types of training: OSS business registration, budget planning, business financial management, online marketing, and production quality improvement. The assistance successfully provided comprehensive solutions to address legality, management, and business assistance issues in cash waqf management at Pesantren Darun Najah Kudus.
