Main Article Content
Abstract
This community service program aimed to improve public knowledge about cholesterol management and rational drug use in Kampung Biru, Banjarmasin. Using participatory education (interactive lectures, group discussions, simulations) and drug information provision (PIO), the activity engaged 10 participants through collaboration between 17 Muhammadiyah/Aisyiyah universities (APTMA), Sungai Mesa Community Health Center, and pharmacy students. Results showed 60% of participants had significant knowledge improvement, 30% maintained good understanding, and 95% expressed satisfaction with the methods. The main challenge was limited comprehension among elderly/low-education groups. The program successfully built multi-stakeholder synergy and serves as a community-based model for non-communicable disease control.
