Main Article Content
Abstract
The limited educational opportunities of Indonesian migrant workers' children studying at the Sanggar Bimbingan in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, prompted the Community Service (PKM) team at the Universitas Semarang (USM) to conduct community service. The community service program, in the form of writing training, aims to foster children's creativity. The partner for this service is a Sanggar Bimbingan, a non-formal institution in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The training was provided to 20 children aged 6-12 years. The training method used lectures and interactive games. Evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-tests. Test results from the children participating in the training showed that none of them understood the writing material before the training. After the training, approximately 40-50% of participants understood the material. The community service program successfully increased the children's knowledge and experience, fostering creativity through writing training.
