Abstract
Effective disaster preparedness requires the involvement of all stakeholders to minimize potential losses. Schools, in particular, play a vital role in disaster mitigation by providing early education and proactive disaster response strategies, especially for students. This community service activity aimed to enhance students' knowledge and skills in disaster mitigation and raise their awareness about the importance of early disaster preparedness. The program was implemented in four phases: obtaining permissions, program socialization, activity execution with lecture and demonstration methods, and evaluation with follow-up activities. A total of 122 students, representing each class at SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Rancaekek, Bandung Regency, participated in the activity. The results showed a significant improvement in students' knowledge, with their pre-test scores averaging 30.36 and increasing to 41.48 after the post-test. Additionally, the students acquired practical skills in disaster mitigation, such as basic life support techniques. In conclusion, participants responded positively to the program, engaging in interactive discussions with the trainers and demonstrating greater understanding of disaster preparedness.
