The repercussions of these events are substantial. A dearth of understanding, preparedness, and awareness of disaster risks can result in casualties, significant material losses, and impediments to the post-disaster recovery process. Disaster mitigation has been demonstrated to be an effective solution for managing post-disaster activities. The objective of this service activity is to elucidate the significance of participatory-based disaster mitigation in establishing a community that is responsive to disasters. The activity was carried out in Rua Village, Ternate Island District, Ternate City. The community service method employed is characterized by a socialization approach, encompassing mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation. Activities are carried out directly in the community in Rua Village. The findings of the initiative have contributed to an enhanced understanding of disaster mitigation strategies, particularly within the context of volcanic landscapes, in regions susceptible to such events. Additionally, the team emphasized the importance of implementing initiatives such as afforestation, erecting disaster-response shelters, and strengthening community resilience. Furthermore, additional coordination is necessary between the community and the local government to effectively manage disaster-prone areas. These regions must be identified as priorities so that the local government can implement initiatives aimed at cultivating disaster-resilient communities.
2025-11-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Krishna Aji, Nurul Ainun Tangge, Lily Ishak, Erwin Ladjinga, Tri Mulya Hartati, Sarif Robohttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10618Transformation of Waste Banks: Realizing a Community- Based Circular Economy in Kwadungan Gunung Village,Kledung District,Temanggung Regency2025-08-27T07:42:03+00:00Herlina Manurungherlinamanurung@untidar.ac.idSiti Rokhaniyahherlinamanurung@untidar.ac.idSiti Afidatul Khotijahherlinamanurung@untidar.ac.idGhina Fitri Ariesta Susiloherlinamanurung@untidar.ac.idNibras Anny Khabibahherlinamanurung@untidar.ac.idSiti Febriyantiherlinamanurung@untidar.ac.idRatna Setyaningsihherlinamanurung@untidar.ac.id
Waste management issues in Kwadungan Gunung Village, Kledung District, Temanggung Regency, present significant challenges to achieving environmental sustainability and community economic resilience. The increasing volume of household and agricultural waste, limited public awareness of circular economy principles, and suboptimal management of the existing waste bank constitute the core problems in this community. This study aims to optimize the role of the waste bank as a center for education, innovation, and community-based economic empowerment. The implemented methods include socialization and education on circular economy practices, training in waste utilization, and assistance for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in transforming waste into economically valuable products. The strategies involve developing a more structured operational system for the waste bank, providing community incentives, and fostering cross-sector collaboration with local stakeholders. The improved skills of various vegetable cultivation groups, including the Barokah Farmers Group in Babat Jerawat Village, Pakal District, have led them to be named "Jawara". Armed with this achievement, they are attempting to expand into seasonal fruit farming using hydroponic technology under the shade of a screen house. On the other hand, Surabaya's hot weather and relatively high humidity are obstacles to implementing hydroponic cultivation systems in screenhouses. Exposure to intense sunlight during the day can increase the temperature of the pipes containing the net pots and nutrient reservoirs to 45°C, thus impacting the temperature of the AB Mix nutrient solution and the physiology of melon plant roots. Armed with experience from research and melon cultivation practices, the community service implementation team conducted a demonstration plot of superior hydroponic melon cultivation in a screenhouse. Based on the findings of the hydroponic installation research on campus, several modifications have been made to the hydroponic installation, including the addition of a cooling layer for the netpots and hydroponic nutrient reservoirs. The added heat insulation layer maintains the temperature of the piping and nutrient reservoir between 30-32°C. This is expected to allow the melon plants to grow normally without environmental stress until harvest, when they yield optimal fruit.
2025-11-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Purnomo Edi Sasongko, M. The purpose of this community service is to implement an organic minapadi cultivation system as a strategy to increase agricultural productivity in Wonopringgo Village, Pekalongan Regency. The community service activity was carried out from June to August 2025, involving 24 partner farmers through observation, extension, and practical methods of creating organic minapadi cultivation demonstration plots. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in farmers' knowledge, experience, and awareness of the organic minapadi system. The number of farmers who understood the concept of minapadi increased from 5 to 22, while the understanding of organic farming rose from 2 to 20. In addition, all farmers gained direct experience through extension activities and field practice. An increase in knowledge of the benefits of minapadi was also seen, from previously only three farmers to 24 farmers who were aware of it. This confirms that the integrated extension approach is efficient in transferring knowledge to partners. Overall, the implementation of organic minapadi (rice-fish farming) in Wonopringgo Village not only provides ecological benefits in the form of improved soil fertility and pest control, but also increases economic opportunities through crop diversification. This activity has the potential to become a pilot model that can be replicated in other areas with similar agro-ecosystem conditions, while also supporting sustainable agricultural development.
2025-11-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Heri Ariadi, Farchan Mushaf Al Ramadhani, Tri Yusufi Mardiana, Silvianita Khoirun Nisa, Kayla Maharani, Dimas Hari Saptohttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10285Strategi Penerapan Deep Learning di SMK Swasta2025-08-12T01:09:31+00:00Kamin Sumardikaminsumardi@upi.eduAgus Setiawanagus_setiawan@upi.eduDedi Rohendidedir@upi.edu
Deep learning is a policy currently being implemented in primary and secondary education, as well as in vocational schools. The implementation of deep learning in learning in vocational schools requires an exceptional understanding for teachers. This training aims to gather data and facts about the knowledge, experience, and implementation of deep learning among private vocational school teachers. The method employed is in-house training, utilizing a participatory and collaborative approach. The training was held at LPS Ciamis Private Vocational School. The training participants were 40 private vocational school teachers. The instrument used was a questionnaire using Google Forms. The results of the training showed that an average of 68% of private vocational school teachers already had a deep understanding of learning. As many as 15.8% of private vocational school teachers are familiar with the basic concept of deep learning. This knowledge was obtained from social media, friends, and the web, to the extent of 31.6%, 26.3%, respectively. As many as 89.5% of private vocational school teachers agreed that deep learning can improve the quality of learning. The teachers already have a high degree of understanding of the purpose of implementing deep learning in vocational schools, with approximately 98% understanding. 47.4% of private vocational school teachers are ready to implement deep learning, while 47.4% of private vocational school teachers are not ready to implement deep learning. Thus, deep learning still requires intensive socialization and training so that vocational school teachers can implement deep learning into the subjects they teach.
2025-11-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Kamin Sumardi, Agus Setiawan, Dedi Rohendihttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10609Penerapan Teknologi Nano Ekstrak Meniran pada Pakan dan Pengenalan Teknologi Silase untuk Meningkatkan Kemandirian Ekonomi Kelompok Ternak Sapi Perah di Desa Sendang, Kabupaten Tulungagung, Jawa Timur2025-08-27T04:37:43+00:00Sri Hidanahsri-h@fkh.unair.ac.idEmy Koestanti Sabdoningrumemy-k-s@fkh.unair.ac.idWidya Paramita Lokapirnasariwidya-p-l@fkh.unair.ac.idAhmad Fadlur Rahman Bayunyahmad.fadlur.r.b@feb.unair.ac.id
The productivity of dairy cows in Sendang Village, Tulungagung Regency, remains below optimal potential, averaging only 4–10 liters per head per day, due to limited access to quality feed and suboptimal livestock health management. This discussion was held as a moral calling and a form of academic protest against several articles in the RKUHAP that are perceived as granting excessive power to law enforcement authorities. The primary objective of this activity was to provide a more comprehensive understanding to students and student organizations from Universitas Negeri Makassar and Universitas Hasanuddin about the dynamics of criminal law reform in Indonesia, both from theoretical perspectives and practical experiences. The method employed was an open forum, consisting of two main sessions: one featuring conceptual insights delivered by academic lecturers, and the other analyzing real-life legal cases presented by representatives from the Legal Aid Institute (LBH) Makassar. The event took place in the courtyard of the BU Building at Universitas Negeri Makassar, with active participation from students across different faculties and organizations. The outcome showed that participants gained a deeper and more complete understanding of how complex the criminal procedure reform really is. They could see both the potential for stronger human rights protection on one hand, and the risks of backsliding on due process principles on the other. Overall, this event made a significant contribution to shaping critical legal awareness among students as agents of change and to encouraging more youth involvement in advocating for legal reform in Indonesia.
2025-11-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Andi Supratman, Herman Herman, Muhtar Muhtar, Nurharsya Khaer, Randiawan Randiawanhttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10443Pendampingan Pengembangan Website Informasi Pesantren Muhammadiyah Banyumas sebagai Media Dakwah Menuju Pesantren Berkemajuan2025-08-27T03:40:15+00:00Makhful Makhfulhavidz.cahya@gmail.comHavidz Cahya Pratamahavidz.cahya@gmail.comAbid Yanuar Badharudinhavidz.cahya@gmail.comAfnan Afiatul Azharhavidz.cahya@gmail.com
This community service activity aims to support the Muhammadiyah Banyumas Islamic Boarding School in developing a website as a means of da'wah and information that meets the needs of the digital era. The problem of household and shellfish waste being carried by ocean currents and accumulating in the environment is a concern in Pakam Village, Batu Bara Regency, North Sumatra. This state detracts from the village's aesthetic attractiveness in addition to polluting the environment. To enhance residents' ability to manage their own waste, community service projects are being implemented through the Universitas Sumatera Utara 2025 Assisted Village initiative. Technical waste processing training, stakeholder Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), the establishment of an Environmental Working Group, and the creation of local regulations in the form of Village Head Regulations (Perkades) were among the implementation strategies. Additionally, a display of processed waste products was implemented. The activities' outcomes demonstrated the development of active local institutions, a greater understanding of household waste sorting, an improvement in the community's ability to process waste into value-added products like handicrafts and calcium powder, and the creation of more practical village regulations than the Perdes. Additionally, Pakam Village was effectively linked to the Batu Bara Regency Waste Bank effort through this scheme.
