This community service activity was carried out in Watang Bacukiki Village, Bacukiki District, Parepare City. The target participants of the community service were the Mangimpuru and Locci-Locci'E Farmer Group Partners in Watang Bacukiki Village. The method used was to provide counseling and training to transfer knowledge and skills to the farmer/livestock group partners in Watang Bacukiki Village regarding agricultural waste and its impact on human health and the environment. Furthermore, trials were conducted on Bali cattle to evaluate their use as ruminant feed. The abundance of agricultural waste, namely corncobs, is often not utilized and instead burned. After receiving counseling and training on fermented corncobs, all participants understood that fermented corncobs can be used as ruminant feed. This digital marketing outreach and training activity aims to equip farmer groups with the knowledge and skills to market fermented corn cob products online. Effective digital marketing strategies are introduced, including creating promotional content, leveraging social media and e-commerce platforms, and using compelling copywriting to increase product appeal.
2026-03-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Rahmawati Semaun, Yasri Tarawiru, Eka Wisdawatihttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/11702Diseminasi Pembuatan Cabai Bubuk dan Pengemasannya untuk Peningkatan Nilai Tambah Usaha Ibu PKK Desa Tanjung Baru2025-12-16T08:44:23+00:00Citra Defiracitradefira@unsri.ac.idCitra Pratiwi Prayitnocitradefira@unsri.ac.idOnne Akbar Nur Ichsancitradefira@unsri.ac.idJerry Antoniocitradefira@unsri.ac.idSyifa’ Robbanicitradefira@unsri.ac.id
Tanjung Baru Village is one of the major chili-producing areas in Ogan Ilir Regency, where high daily production often leads to substantial losses due to sharp price fluctuations during peak harvest periods. This issue is exacerbated by the community's limited knowledge of postharvest and processing technologies, leading to a heavy reliance on the sale of fresh chilies with short shelf lives. This community service program aims to enhance local capacity—particularly among women's groups (PKK)—by disseminating appropriate technology for processing chilies into chili powder as a value-added product. The program consisted of lectures, equipment demonstrations, hands-on practice, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test assessments. The results indicate that participants were highly engaged and completed all processing stages, including sorting, drying with a food dehydrator, grinding, sieving, and packaging. Although the increase in average knowledge score from 72.67 to 76 was not substantial, observational assessments showed a pronounced improvement in participants' psychomotor skills, reflected in their ability to produce chili powder with acceptable sensory quality. Overall, the dissemination activity effectively strengthened the community's technical competencies and holds strong potential to support the development of small-scale chili powder enterprises as a strategy to improve product value, reduce postharvest losses, and enhance local economic resilience.
2026-03-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Citra Defira, Citra Pratiwi Prayitno, Onne Akbar Nur Ichsan, Jerry Antonio, Syifa’ Robbanihttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/11319Optimalisasi Produktivitas Mie Instan Patin (Pangasius sp) pada UMKM Dua Putri Tavida, Desa Ngerong, Kabupaten Pasuruan2025-11-06T02:54:41+00:00Candra Adi Intyascandra.intyas@ub.ac.idWahyu Handayaniwahyuhandayani@ub.ac.idSuluh Elman Swarasuluh.elmans@ub.ac.idMoh. Cattle farming in this area is generally carried out extensively, in a traditional way, with cattle released into pastures or the wild to forage, without permanent pens or supplemental feed. The lack of knowledge and skills of livestock farmers in feed management is a serious problem that leads to low animal productivity. Furthermore, poor management of livestock waste can lead to environmental pollution and the potential spread of disease. Based on these problems, extension and training activities were held on the production of concentrate feed and organic fertilizer to increase livestock productivity and the economic income of livestock farmers in Rum Village, Tidore Islands city. The activities were carried out through several stages: surveys, extension, practice, and monitoring and evaluation, with the active participation of farmers at each stage. The training included producing concentrated feed and compost. Livestock farmers can utilize the resulting concentrated feed and compost. Farmers were able to practice making concentrated feed and compost independently. After the training, farmers' knowledge and skills in implementing good livestock farming practices have improved. This community service activity aims to provide risk mitigation assistance and improve participants' understanding of SPT reporting obligations and the use of the Coretax system. The implementation method uses an educational and participatory approach through stages of regulatory socialization, simulation training on calculating Income Tax Article 21 for combined and separate NPWP scenarios, and technical assistance on using the Coretax Administration System (CTAS). Evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-knowledge questionnaires, practical observations, and satisfaction questionnaires. The results showed that before the activity, the majority of participants (81.82%) did not understand the procedures for tax reporting based on the Coretax Administration System (CTAS). However, after participating in the simulation-based and hands-on assistance program, more than 70% of participants showed significant improvements in their tax calculation and reporting skills in accordance with regulations. As the site of an early civilization in the archipelago, Malang Regency possesses a diverse collection of tangible and intangible cultural heritage assets, encompassing physical sites, traditions, and performing arts. Notwithstanding this richness, the documentation of these artifacts and assets remains suboptimal. The primary objective of this community engagement activity was to empower local art and culture activists to preserve and promote their cultural assets through the application of digital technology. The methodology employed a participatory approach, in which the local community and academics co-created the collection, location mapping (geotagging), and detailed data verification of cultural sites. The study results demonstrate that utilizing a digital map significantly enhanced public awareness and community involvement in cultural conservation, while also providing an easily accessible platform for tourists and researchers. The study's conclusion underscores the critical importance of collaboration between digital technology and local wisdom to effectively support community-level cultural heritage preservation. Kaffa Indonesia, an SME based in Bandung, produces a range of Muslim apparel. As the business grows, the company faces challenges in consistently meeting customer expectations. Manual quality control processes often lead to product defects or deviations from established standards, highlighting weaknesses in production quality control. These deficiencies can diminish customer satisfaction and harm the company's reputation. To address these issues, the adoption of a structured Quality Management System (QMS) such as ISO 9001:2015 is proposed. ISO 9001:2015 provides a systematic framework for maintaining and improving product quality while aligning with customer expectations and industry standards. This program aims to support Kaffa Indonesia in understanding and implementing an ISO 9001:2015-based QMS. This aligns with SDG 9, which supports sustainable industrialization in the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector. The research employs SWOT and gap analyses to identify operational gaps and develop a quality manual. Key deliverables include standardized procedures for internal quality audits, document control, management reviews, research and development (R&D), procurement, production processes, and finished goods handling. Additionally, there is limited availability of visually engaging learning media, and no mechanism for publishing collaborative products between children and parents. This community service aims to address those problems by enhancing active parental participation, developing children's visual expression and parents' narrative skills, and creating tangible collaborative visual literacy products. The program was implemented over 6 months using participatory training and experiential learning methods. Activities included socializing, visual literacy concepts, drawing training for children (21 participants), creative narrative writing training for parents (19 participants), collaborative creation, mentoring, editing, and the production and publication of an anthology. As a result, parental participation increased to 95%, 90% of children showed improved visual expression, and 90% of parents demonstrated enhanced narrative skills. The main outputs produced were a collaborative QRCBN-registered anthology book titled "Gambarku, Ceritamu, Cerita Kita," a documentation video, three online media publications, and a training module. The collaborative visual literacy approach proved effective in improving individual skills and strengthening family emotional bonds, as well as the institutional capacity of TBM.
2026-04-03T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Nirena Ade Christy, Syarah Veniaty, Ibnu Yustiya Ramadhan, Endah Yusma Pratiwi, Jeje Jeje, Sedih Hati Waruwuhttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/11160Pembibitan Tanaman Herbal melalui Model Home Herbal Medicine Garden untuk Mendukung Kemandirian Kesehatan Masyarakat2025-11-05T03:00:13+00:00Muhammad Yasirmuhamadyasir224230002@umkendari.ac.idJefri Setiawanjefrisetiawan150403@gmail.comNurintan Makoleasriani@umkendari.ac.idFaridun Taufik Muhammmad Akbarfariduntaufikma@gmail.comMuhammmad Fais Adrianasriani@umkendari.ac.idHilda Hildaasriani@umkendari.ac.idWa Embewaembe@umkendari.ac.idAsriani Asrianiasriani@umkendari.ac.id
The program, Herbal Plant Seedling through the Home Herbal Medicine Garden Model to Support Community Health Independence, was implemented in Mataiwoi Village to enhance community knowledge and skills in cultivating herbal plants as a source of traditional family medicine. This program was designed as part of the PPK Ormawa initiative by HIMATIP, Muhammadiyah University of Kendari, through careful planning and collaboration with local stakeholders. A total of 20 participants, including PKK women's groups and residents, took part in the program. The implementation methods included coordination with strategic partners (village governments, the PKK, and community health centers), training sessions on herbal plant seedlings, and field mentoring. Three types of herbal plants were cultivated during the program: ginger (Zingiber officinale), turmeric (Curcuma longa), and lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus). The results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge regarding herbal seedling techniques, from 55% before training to 95% after. Beyond technical skills, the program fostered collective awareness of the importance of local resource-based health self-reliance. The Home Herbal Medicine Garden model proved effective as a community empowerment strategy and has strong potential for replication in other areas to support the achievement of the Asta Cita vision of community health independence.
2026-03-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Yasir, Jefri Setiawan, Nurintan Makole, Faridun Taufik Muhammmad Akbar, Muhammmad Fais Adrian, Hilda Hilda, Wa Embe, Asriani Asrianihttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/11511Bantuan Peningkatan Literasi untuk Generasi Muda di Desa-desa Melalui Program Pojok Pintar di Desa Tanjung Baru Ranau Selatan OKU2025-12-16T07:57:53+00:00Martina Martinamartina@fisip.unsri.ac.idTrecy Austintrecyaustin@fisip.unsri.ac.idRahmat Rafinzarrahmatrafinzar@fisip.unsri.ac.idIrsad Munawirirsadmunawir@fisip.unsri.ac.idAnnisa Larasati Chairaniannisalarasatichairani@fisip.unsri.ac.id
Reading interest and literacy levels in rural communities remain a serious challenge, including in Tanjung Baru Ranau Village, South OKU. The lack of reading materials, low family awareness of reading culture, and limited public learning spaces result in young people having limited access to knowledge sources. The main topic of this article is the effort to improve literacy among the younger generation in Tanjung Baru Ranau Village, South OKU Regency, through the Smart Corner Program. Discuss how low reading interest, limited reading facilities, and the scarcity of public learning spaces in villages are addressed through the establishment of open reading spaces (Smart Corners) equipped with diverse reading materials, literacy training, mentoring, and digital literacy strengthening. The implementation methods include socialization, literacy training, mentoring, and the application of technology and innovation through the provision of bookshelves, reading materials, floor mats, and reading tables. The results of the activity show an increase in understanding of digital literacy and reading interest among the younger generation, supported by the community's high enthusiasm for managing the Smart Corner. Post-test evaluation showed significant improvement in understanding digital literacy, distinguishing between true and false information, and support for program sustainability. This program successfully strengthened the village literacy ecosystem and encouraged community participation in developing a reading culture. With youth and families involved, the Smart Corner has the potential to become a sustainable learning space that supports the achievement of SDGs 4 and 10.
2026-03-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Martina Martina, Trecy Austin, Rahmat Rafinzar, Irsad Munawir; Annisa Larasati Chairanihttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/11133Peningkatan Ketahanan Pangan Asal Hewani melalui Olahan Susu Fermentasi di Kelompok Tani Sapi Perah Desa Tumiyang2025-12-16T07:07:35+00:00Triana Setyawardanitriana.setyawardani@unsoed.ac.idNaofal Dhia Arkannaofal.dhia@unsoed.ac.idIrfan Fadhlurrohmanirfan.fadhlurrohman@unsoed.ac.idYusmi Nur Wakhidatiyusmi.wakhidati@unsoed.ac.idHasan Muhammad Yusufhasan.muhammad@unsoed.ac.idAsmaradika Cahya Tirtaasmaradika.cahya@gmail.com
Community service activities based on the team's research were carried out through lectures and practical processing methods. Lectures provided theoretical knowledge of milk composition, nutrients, and the health benefits of milk and its processed products. Practical methods were carried out using controlled fermentation technology, optimizing temperature and incubation time, and using commercial starters and kefir grains. The objectives of the activity were (1) transfer of controlled fermentation technology with instant starters to process milk into yogurt, kefir, fermented cheese, and mozzarella cheese; (2) application of the team's research results for the development of easy-to-do, simple, and marketable dairy products; and (3) increasing the empowerment of livestock farmer group members. The results of the community service showed that the highest increase in participant knowledge was in mozzarella cheese products, namely 97.5%, followed by kefir (97%), cottage cheese (95.5%), and yogurt (72.5%). 100% of participants were able to perform the practical processing of the taught products. The resulting products were then sensory tested by a team of semi-trained panelists using the criterion of somewhat liking. The activity concluded that participants increased their knowledge and skills in processing milk-based products, namely yogurt, kefir, mozzarella cheese, and cottage cheese.
2026-03-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Triana Setyawardani, Naofal Dhia Arkan, Irfan Fadhlurrohman, Yusmi Nur Wakhidati, Hasan Muhammad Yusuf, Asmaradika Cahya Tirtahttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/11404Edukasi Kesehatan Diabetes Melitus dan Senam Kaki2025-12-16T07:24:56+00:00Adventina Delima Hutapeaadventina.hutapea@uph.eduJoice Cathryneadventina.hutapea@uph.eduRiama Marlyn Sihombingadventina.hutapea@uph.eduFiolenty Bertina Marulianna Sitorusadventina.hutapea@uph.eduYenni Ferawati Sitanggangadventina.hutapea@uph.edu
Diabetes mellitus is the main cause of health complications that can be fatal and cause complications in several systems. Diabetes mellitus significantly increases healthcare costs and harms the quality of life of human resources. Therefore, all stakeholders, including the government and the community, must participate in efforts to prevent this disease. A therapy that can help prevent complications of diabetes mellitus includes education and regular diabetic foot exercises. This community service activity aimed to increase public awareness about diabetes mellitus and its prevention through foot exercises. This activity included education, diabetic foot exercises, and health screening. The participants in this activity were community members of HKBP Lippo Karawaci, which began with a pre-test, a presentation of the material, discussion, foot exercises, a post-test, and health screening. The total number of participants was 65. Based on the analysis, the average pre-test score was 60.18, and the post-test score was 61.11. The analysis showed that participants' knowledge had increased, although the difference was minimal, in line with the indicator of an increase of >10%. This activity concludes that health education can improve participants' understanding of diabetes mellitus and enable them to participate in diabetic foot exercise programs. To enhance awareness and prevent diabetes mellitus complications from an early stage, it is recommended that similar activities be conducted on an ongoing basis and integrated into health promotion initiatives.
2026-03-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Adventina Delima Hutapea, Joice Cathryne, Riama Marlyn Sihombing, Fiolenty Bertina Marulianna Sitorus, Yenni Ferawati Sitangganghttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/11019Pelatihan Good Breeding Practice untuk Meningkatkan Produktivitas Kambing dan Pendapatan Ekonomi Peternak di Kelurahan Jambula, Kota Ternate2025-11-05T01:02:45+00:00Dwi Nur Happy Hariyonod.nur.happy@unkhair.ac.idEny Endrawatieny.endrawati@unkhair.ac.idKrishna Ajikrishna.aji@unkhair.ac.id
Goats are a key livestock commodity, providing food and employment. Goat farming in Ternate City is generally semi-intensive, particularly in the Jambula sub-district. The challenges faced by goat farmers include limited knowledge and skills, a lack of technological expertise in selecting superior seeds and managing feed, low livestock productivity, and inadequate waste management. Therefore, the purpose of this community service activity is to provide outreach and training on the application of Good Breeding Practice (GBP) to increase livestock productivity and community income. The stages of the community service activity included surveys, outreach, training with practice, and monitoring and evaluation. All activities were successful and were attended by 18 farmers. The farmers actively participated in each stage of the activity. The training included the Village Breeding Center (VBC), the production of flushing feed, and compost. The farmers can utilize the resulting flushing feed and compost. The farmers were able to practice making flushing feed and compost independently. After the training, the farmers' knowledge and skills in implementing GBP increased. Therefore, ongoing support is needed to ensure the implementation of GBP continues to run smoothly and achieve the desired goals.
2026-03-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Dwi Nur Happy Hariyono, Eny Endrawati, Krishna Ajihttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/11353Edukasi Pengawasan Orangtua terhadap Akses Novel Digital Bermuatan Pornografi pada Anak di Bawah Umur2025-12-16T07:26:05+00:00Syifa Rana Tsarysyifa.rana.tsary@gmail.comRian Saputrasyifa.rana.tsary@gmail.comAhmad Dicky Muttaqinsyifa.rana.tsary@gmail.com
This community service activity aims to provide parents with an understanding of the importance of providing underage children with access to digital novels to prevent them from falling prey to pornographic works. Puncak Harapan Village is a rubber-growing area, with coffee plants growing among the rubber trees. However, obtaining superior, ready-to-plant coffee seedlings is difficult, so a coffee shade house was built to make it easier for the community to obtain Liberica coffee seedlings and to maximize the use of rubber plantation land. The purpose of this activity is to ensure that unplanted coffee seedlings can be properly cared for before being transplanted among the rubber plants. The implementation method includes a location survey for the shade house, land clearing, construction of the shade house, and planting Liberica coffee seedlings. This shade house is built with dimensions of 10 x 15 m2 and a height of 1.5 m on the left and right sides, while the center side is 3 m high. The top of the shade house is covered with a net to shade the coffee seedlings from direct sunlight. After the nursery process was completed, a symbolic inauguration was held by the Puncak Harapan Village Head and attended by representatives of the village government. This disease is caused by both intrinsic (e.g., immunity and nutritional status) and extrinsic (e.g., air pollution and climate change) factors. The treatment of the common cold in toddlers is generally done through pharmacological therapy, but it is often less effective due to children's difficulty in consuming medication. As an alternative, non-pharmacological therapies such as common cold massage can be used to alleviate symptoms and boost the immune system. However, many mothers in Luwang Village, Sukoharjo, are not yet familiar with this technique. Therefore, this community service activity aims to increase mothers' knowledge about common cold massage through socialization and demonstration. The method used includes three stages: preparation, implementation (socialization and demonstration using a baby mannequin), and evaluation (pre-test and post-test). The results show a significant improvement in mothers' understanding, with an average post-test score of 9.89 compared to the pre-test score of 7.28. The demonstration proved effective in enhancing mothers' knowledge and skills. Recommendations for future activities include selecting a suitable location and improving coordination with health cadres to enhance implementation effectiveness.
2026-03-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Sugiyani Sugiyani, Noviyati Rahardjo Putrihttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/11343Penguatan Pemahaman Bahaya Pernikahan Dini Melalui Intervensi Literasi Kepada Santriwati Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Hasan Pakusari Jember2025-11-05T03:57:32+00:00Imam Turmuditurmudiimam43@yahoo.comDavid Ilham Yusufdavidilhamyusuf@gmail.com
Early marriage is considered a shortcut to escape from economic hardship. When parents cannot afford their children's school tuition, they will marry them instead. However, in many cases, early brides and grooms have not gained sufficient understanding of the functions of marriage and the respective roles they need to play. Based on these, this community service sought to reshape society's understanding by reinforcing marriage literacy, especially among female students at Miftahul Hasan Islamic Boarding School in Pakusari-Jember. The setting was deliberately chosen because most of the female students there have already become engaged. The Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) community service approach was implemented. The procedure began with several observations of the community service respondents, followed by reinforcement of marriage literacy. Lastly, the evaluation was used to elicit reflections. The findings showed several improvements; first, their understanding of the dynamics of a marriage has improved; second, their understanding of personal readiness, such as reproductive readiness, economic readiness, children's caregiving, and household conflict management; third, their understanding of the function of a marriage and their respective roles as a husband and a wife.
2026-03-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Imam Turmudi, David Ilham Yusuf
