The program was implemented on October 13, 2025, using an interactive socialization method involving 33 eleventh-grade students. The intervention included lectures, discussions, and the screening of two educational videos: "Semu" Short Film by ROTARI FILMS (regarding digital ethics) and Paham Literasi Digital Biar Gak Kena Mental (regarding mental health). Evaluation data were collected through a post-socialization reflective questionnaire (post-test). Descriptive analysis results showed that the socialization successfully increased students' understanding, evidenced by 94% of respondents achieving high comprehension of digital ethics and responsibility. However, the data also highlighted that 24% of students were still exhibiting symptoms of Nomophobia (anxiety when separated from their phone) and sleep quality disturbances due to uncontrolled screen time. These findings underscore the importance of self-regulation training in digital literacy interventions to suppress psychological risks in the digital age.
2026-02-28T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Dewi Rahayu, Arini Vika Sarihttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/11081Pelatihan Peningkatan Kualitas Produk Ramuan Tradisional Kabupaten Bangli, Bali2025-11-05T01:11:12+00:00Tutik Sri Wahyunitutik-s-w@ff.unair.ac.idRetno Widyowatirr-retno-w@ff.unair.ac.idNeny Purwitasarineny-p@ff.unair.ac.idAty Widyawaruyantiaty-w@ff.unair.ac.idAchmad Fuadachmadfuad@yahoo.comHadi Poerwonohadi-p@ff.unair.ac.idDewi Isadiartutidewi-i@ff.unair.ac.idMelanny Ika Sulistyowatymelanny-i-s@ff.unair.ac.idHelmy Yusufhelmy-yusuf@ff.unair.ac.idMarcellino Rudyantomarcellino-r@ff.unair.ac.idIdha Kusumawatiidha-k@ff.unair.ac.idTri Widiandanitri-w@ff.unair.ac.idDini Retnowatidini-r@ff.unair.ac.id
Bali is renowned as a tourist island rich in local wisdom, one of which is the traditional herbal remedy loloh cemcem from Penglipuran Village, Bangli Regency. This herbal drink has long been used to maintain health and alleviate internal heat. However, the loloh cemcem products produced by the local community still fall short of the standards for quality traditional medicine preparations, particularly in terms of product quality, packaging, and labeling. Through a community service initiative, activities such as observation, education, training, and mentoring were conducted for local entrepreneurs, focusing on proper selection of raw materials, hygienic production processes, safe packaging practices, accurate labeling of composition, and the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The training, attended by more than 20 participants from MSMEs and youth organizations (karang taruna), aimed to enhance public understanding of the benefits and importance of high-quality herbal products. It is hoped that loloh cemcem can evolve into a safe, high-quality, efficacious, and competitive traditional beverage. Furthermore, product innovation may serve as an alternative strategy for developing loloh cemcem preparations and expanding their recognition among the wider public.
2026-02-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Tutik Sri Wahyuni, Retno Widyowati, Neny Purwitasari, Aty Widyawaruyanti, Achmad Fuad, Hadi Poerwono, Dewi Isadiartuti, Melanny Ika Sulistyowaty, Helmy Yusuf, Marcellino Rudyanto, Idha Kusumawati, Tri Widiandani, Dini Retnowatihttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/11048Upaya Peningkatan Potensi Wirausaha Melalui Evaluasi Penyuluhan Pembuatan Bakpia Gurih dari Ikan dan Rumput Laut di SMAN 1 Muara Gembong, Bekasi2025-10-10T14:57:49+00:00Alsuhendra Alsuhendraalsuhendra@gmail.comRidawati Ridawatialsuhendra@gmail.com
This activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of teachers, students, and canteen managers at SMAN 1 Muara Gembong, Bekasi, in processing fish and seaweed into high-value products, as an effort to develop entrepreneurial potential. Effective management of diabetes is crucial to prevent serious complications; however, many patients still have a limited understanding of how to control their blood sugar levels. This community service program aims to assess the effectiveness of an educational program in improving patients' knowledge about diabetes management at Puskesmas Genteng Kulon, Banyuwangi. The academic program is presented in a simple, easy-to-understand approach called DORMAN (Diet, Exercise, and Monitoring Active, Normal). This program utilizes various educational media such as leaflets, posters, and blood sugar monitoring tools. A total of 46 participants who met specific criteria were involved in this program. Program evaluation was carried out using knowledge questionnaires, program satisfaction surveys, and blood sugar monitoring forms. The results of this program showed a significant improvement in patient knowledge: more than half of the patients (52.2%) who initially had insufficient knowledge improved to a good level (80.5%) after participating in the educational program. Additionally, the blood sugar levels of patients who were initially abnormal, totaling 28 patients (60.9%), improved, with 30 patients (65.2%) achieving normal blood sugar levels after the education. These findings emphasize the importance of education grounded in clear, applicable information for self-management of diabetes. This program is expected to have a positive impact on community-level efforts to prevent diabetes complications.
2026-02-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Joko Prasetyo, Prima Dewi Kusumawati, Haswita Haswitahttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10706Interior Rumah Tinggal Berbasis CPTED Sebagai Upaya Preventif Mencegah Kriminalisasi di Surakarta 2025-09-08T01:04:46+00:00Joko Budiwiyantobadriyah@isi-ska.ac.idSiti Badriyahbadriyah@isi-ska.ac.idRaden Ersnathan Budi Prasetyobadriyah@isi-ska.ac.idAditya Eko Adriantoadityaeko@isi-ska.ac.id
Crime prevention in densely populated urban areas such as Jebres, Surakarta, presents a serious challenge that requires preventive solutions grounded in interior and environmental design. Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) offers a practical approach by leveraging physical interior design to minimize opportunities for criminal activity. This community service project aimed to implement fundamental CPTED principles within residential interiors as a preventive strategy against crime in densely inhabited neighborhoods. The partners in this initiative were residents of Jebres, Surakarta, a densely populated urban community vulnerable to security threats. The methodology combined education, design simulation, and case-based mentoring applied to selected residential units. Five core CPTED principles were adapted: natural surveillance, access control, territorial reinforcement, maintenance, and target hardening, all implemented through participatory engagement. The outcomes indicate that CPTED-integrated interior design significantly enhances residents' perception of safety and fosters greater community awareness and active participation in maintaining a secure environment. An interior design sensitive to security aspects serves as both an educational tool and a practical preventive measure. These findings underscore that design interventions at the residential scale yield meaningful social impacts. Applying CPTED at the household level not only improves physical security but also strengthens social cohesion. Therefore, the results of this service project are significant as a replicable model of design-based preventive strategies that can be adopted in other urban communities facing similar challenges.
2026-02-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Joko Budiwiyanto, Siti Badriyah, Raden Ersnathan Budi Prasetyo, Aditya Eko Adriantohttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/11082Optimization of Inorganic Waste Recycling into Plant Pots Using the 4R Approach to Support the Adiwiyata Unggulan School Program2025-10-13T02:02:19+00:00Euis Nina Saparina Yulianinina.yuliani@mercubuana.ac.idHernadewita Hernadewitanina.yuliani@mercubuana.ac.idHermiyetti Hermiyettinina.yuliani@mercubuana.ac.idSyifa Ur Rahminina.yuliani@mercubuana.ac.id
Inorganic waste, particularly plastic generated from school canteens and learning activities, remains a significant environmental challenge due to its non-biodegradability, which contributes to soil, water, and air pollution. Addressing this issue, this community service program aimed to enhance students' environmental awareness and practical skills in managing plastic waste by producing ecobricks, which were repurposed as eco-friendly plant pots to improve the school's aesthetic and ecological quality. Mercu Buana University implemented the program in collaboration with the Rawakalong Village Government to support SMKN 1 Gunung Sindur in achieving Exemplary Adiwiyata School status. The initiative combined participatory training sessions, hands-on Fs, and continuous mentoring, emphasizing the application of the 4R principles in the school environment. The results indicated a marked increase in students' engagement, knowledge, and skills in waste management, along with a measurable reduction in plastic waste volume. Ecobricks were successfully integrated into school greening activities, serving as both functional plant pots and tangible educational tools that reinforced sustainable behaviors. The program also contributed to the fulfillment of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) 3 and 7 and promoted experiential, community-based learning aligned with the Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka initiative. This study demonstrates that ecobrick-based interventions can transform environmental challenges into educational opportunities, fostering sustainable practices and participatory learning among students. Moreover, the program highlights the potential to scale ecobrick initiatives across broader school and community contexts, supporting environmental stewardship and institutional commitment to sustainability. These findings provide practical and theoretical insights into integrating hands-on waste management strategies into school-based ecological education programs.
2026-02-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Euis Nina Saparina Yuliani, Hernadewita Hernadewita, Hermiyetti Hermiyetti, Syifa Ur Rahmihttps://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/11061Penerapan Starbo-AFE untuk Produksi Kompos Kelompok Tani Giri Mukti Kabupaten Sarolangun2025-10-10T14:57:10+00:00Adriani Adrianiadrianiyogaswara@unja.ac.idArdiyaningsih Puji Lestariardianingsih@unja.ac.idFahmida Fahmidafahmida_manin@nja.ac.id
This community service program aims to improve partners' knowledge and skills in composting using Starbo-AFE. Partners' problems are limited raw materials for composting and the slowness of the composting process. Therefore, it is necessary to disseminate compost processing technology using Starbo-AFE. This activity is carried out in 5 stages: socialization, training, application of the Starbo-AFE technology, assistance with production equipment, and mentoring and evaluation. The socialization activity began with a discussion with farmer groups, PPL, and village officials to determine the action plan. The training was attended by 30 people, who received technical materials on composting and the use of Starbo-AFE as an activator. The technology is applied using the Starbo-AFE activator in compost production, with rice husks and chicken feces as compost materials. Work productivity is influenced by physical fitness, nutritional status, work capacity, and additional burdens imposed by the work environment. Each individual's work productivity may differ depending on their nutritional status. Poor dietary status generally affects health, activities, and work productivity. Nutritional status is also related to anthropometric conditions, which dietary habits may influence. The dietary intake of PPSU officers is sometimes not considered in terms of food portions. A dietary intake of too much carbohydrate may increase blood glucose levels, thereby potentially causing diabetes. Dietary intakes of high-fat and carbohydrate content may also cause obesity. Diabetes and obesity can affect work performance, reducing productivity. This can be a problem for the productivity of PPSU officers. The purpose of implementing Community Service (PKM) is to provide education on the concepts of blood glucose levels and obesity, and on prevention through blood glucose level and obesity control. This knowledge needs to be imparted to PPSU officers. such that they may pay more attention to food intake and control blood glucose levels and BMI, thereby preventing diabetes and obesity and increasing work productivity. The implementation of PKM was carried out through counseling and Q&A involving 52 PPSU officers in Kapuk subdistrict, West Jakarta. The counseling results showed an increase in knowledge of obesity and diabetes among PPSU officers. Continuous counseling is needed for PPSU officers to prevent obesity and DM and increase work productivity.
2026-02-15T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Alvina Alvina, Pusparini Pusparini, Mario Mario, Yasmine Mashabi, Lie Tanu Merijanti
