This community service program aimed to improve community knowledge, awareness, and participation in promoting healthy families and supporting optimal child growth and development by optimizing Posyandu services in Rumak Village, West Lombok. The main problems identified included limited community understanding of balanced nutrition and child growth monitoring, and the suboptimal capacity of Posyandu cadres to deliver health education. The program was implemented through preparation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation stages. Activities included health education sessions, Posyandu cadre training, integrated health services such as weighing and anthropometric measurements, child growth and development screening, and family assistance through home visits. Evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-tests to assess improvements in community knowledge. The results demonstrated significant increases in community participation and Posyandu cadre capacity. Community attendance increased by 64.6%, from 48 to 79 participants. The average maternal and child health knowledge score improved from 56.4 to 84.7. In addition, community understanding of balanced nutrition, stunting prevention, and child growth monitoring improved considerably. The number of children under five participating in health examinations increased to 57 children, and several cases of undernutrition and developmental delays were successfully identified at an early stage. These findings indicate that community empowerment through Posyandu is an effective strategy for improving sustainable family and child health outcomes.

Penguatan Etika Seksualitas Berbasis Al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan di Perguruan Muhammadiyah Kota Bekasi

Violence and issues related to sexual orientation among children and adolescents constitute significant public health concerns, affecting mental health, social well-being, and family resilience. National data indicate that sexual violence remains the most prevalent form of violence against children in Indonesia. At the same time, there has been a notable increase in new HIV infections among same-sex–oriented populations. Schools, as spaces for character formation, play a strategic role in promotive and preventive efforts. This community engagement program aimed to enhance sexuality ethics literacy and raise awareness of sexual violence prevention among students at Muhammadiyah schools in Bekasi City through a participatory approach grounded in Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah values. The methods employed included interactive educational sessions, small group discussions, and brainstorming activities. The program was implemented at the elementary (SD), vocational high school (SMK), and Islamic senior high school (Madrasah Aliyah) levels, involving 245 students and 15 teachers. The results indicated improved conceptual understanding of healthy interaction boundaries, the importance of consent, and awareness of the risks of gender-based violence in digital spaces. Participatory discussions also revealed the need for safe spaces where students can openly address issues related to relationships and adolescent mental health. The findings demonstrate that integrating Islamic values with a health promotion approach can strengthen a safe school culture and support students’ psychosocial well-being.

Pemberdayaan Masyarakat melalui Pemanfaatan Limbah Daun Melon Menjadi Herbal Wash di Greenhouse PCM Kembaran, Banyumas

This community service program aimed to empower local communities in utilizing melon leaf waste (Cucumis melo) to produce herbal hand wash as a natural alternative to hand hygiene products. The main problems faced by the community included suboptimal management of organic waste and limited use of local resources to produce value-added products. The methods consisted of education, hands-on training, and assistance with the production process, including melon leaf extraction, formulation, and packaging. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills, with production capability increasing from 20% to 90% and process understanding reaching 100%. The herbal wash product produced was safe for use and showed potential as an eco-friendly hygiene product. This program highlights that a practice-based empowerment approach is effective in enhancing community capacity while supporting sustainable waste management.

Solusi Perilaku Membuang Sampah di Pinggiran Sungai: Peningkatan Aspek Kognitif untuk Pengelolaan Sampah Masyarakat Martapura

Pingaran Ilir and Pingaran Ulu, located in the Astambul subdistrict, Banjar Regency, face significant waste management problems, including the long distance to temporary disposal sites (TPS), the practice of disposing waste into rivers, and the burning of waste. To address these issues, two community service (PkM) programs were implemented: Waste Sorting Education and a Workshop on Composter production. This program aims to improve cognitive skills and change waste-disposal behaviors among communities living along riverbanks. It applies the PATH model (Problem, Analysis, Test, and Help) by providing intervention methods. Program effectiveness was measured through pre- and post-test assessments of cognitive aspects, analyzed using inferential statistics, as well as through program evaluation via interviews. The results indicated an increase in participants' knowledge following both the waste-sorting education and the composting workshop. A two-month follow-up revealed that waste segregation practices were still maintained; however, waste was still being dumped into the river and burned. This was due to inadequate waste management in the village. Compost production had not progressed well due to a lack of local demand, as residents preferred factory-produced fertilizers. Therefore, policy support is needed, particularly in the provision of an integrated waste collection service.

Optimalisasi Produksi dan Pemasaran Madu Kelulut Melalui Manajemen Usaha dan Social Media Branding pada Kelompok Tani Dewata Borneo Samarinda

Stingless bee honey (Trigona spp.) is a high-value commodity with superior nutritional and health benefits that is increasingly favored by the general public. This high market demand creates significant economic opportunities, particularly for farmer groups in the East Kalimantan region, which is highly biodiverse. However, this great potential has not been fully realized due to constraints in internal business management, financial record-keeping, and digital marketing strategies faced by local farmers. Therefore, this community service activity aims to improve the capacity of Dewata Borneo Farmer Group in Samarinda City in optimizing the production and marketing of stingless bee honey products. The main problems faced by the farmer group include weak business governance, minimal financial recordkeeping, and suboptimal use of social media for digital marketing. The activity was conducted on June 24, 2026, at Pura Prajapati, Samarinda City, with funding support from the BIMA Kemendikti Saintek grant scheme. Methods used included training and mentoring in three main aspects: (1) farmer group business management and simple financial recording, (2) implementation of social media branding to expand digital market reach, and (3) technical training on stingless bee cultivation, independent colony separation techniques, and honey harvest optimization. The results showed an increase in group members' understanding of business management, ability to create attractive brand identities on digital platforms, and improved independent stingless bee cultivation skills. This activity is expected to encourage the sustainability of local stingless bee honey businesses while increasing product value in broader markets.

Capacity Building for Special Education Teachers in Developing Assessment Instruments for Students with Special Needs at Special School X

This community service program aims to enhance teachers' understanding and awareness at Special School X of the importance of developing assessment instruments tailored to the characteristics of students with special needs. Based on a needs analysis conducted at the school, most teachers still relied on generic assessments that failed to accommodate students' individual needs. The main challenges faced by teachers include limited comprehension of the principles of individualized assessment and insufficient skills in designing adaptive instruments that address diverse learning barriers. Through a series of technical guidance sessions, the community engagement team provided conceptual reinforcement of the principles of special education assessment, the types of assessments, and the fundamental steps in designing adaptive instruments. The program emphasized interactive delivery of materials, collaborative discussions, and reflective sessions to cultivate teachers’ awareness of the urgency of inclusive, learner-centered assessment practices. The results indicate an improvement in teachers’ conceptual understanding of fair and equitable assessment for students with special needs, alongside a strengthened commitment to developing simple, contextually relevant assessment instruments in their respective classrooms.

Penguatan Literasi Dakwah melalui Training Inspiratif Tulis Artikel (TInTA) bagi Kader Aisyiyah Kota Bekasi

The low level of writing culture among adult women remains a significant challenge to strengthening da’wah activities and documenting social movements. Although Aisyiyah cadres are actively involved in community-based da’wah and social services, writing has not yet been optimally utilized as a medium of da’wah bil qalam and advocacy for progressive Muslim women. This community service program aimed to enhance the writing literacy and da’wah literacy capacities of Aisyiyah cadres in Bekasi City through training based on the psychological empowerment approach. The program was implemented through two writing training sessions (2 × 2 hours) accompanied by online mentoring. A total of 20 participants were involved, with ages ranging from 18 to 70 years (average age 50 years) and organizational experience ranging from 0 to 38 years. Some showed resistance to regularly writing activity reports. The program resulted in articles published on the Kompasiana SadarBakat community platform. The findings indicate that improving writing literacy requires technical writing training, confidence-building, habit formation, and sustained mentoring support.

Profil Antropometri dan Faktor Gaya Hidup pada Remaja: Studi Berbasis Sekolah untuk Deteksi Awal Obesitas dan Resiko Diabetes di Indonesia

Obesity and diabetes among adolescents have become significant public health concerns globally, including in Indonesia. This study aimed to evaluate the anthropometric profiles and lifestyle factors that influence the risk of obesity and diabetes among adolescents at an urban Indonesian school. A cross-sectional design was employed, involving 93 students aged 13–18 years who underwent anthropometric measurements and completed lifestyle questionnaires. Results indicated that 36.5% of participants were overweight or obese. Key lifestyle factors, such as frequent fast food consumption and low fiber intake, were significantly associated with higher BMI. After a health education intervention, participants demonstrated a significant improvement in knowledge regarding obesity and diabetes. The findings highlight the importance of school-based screenings and educational interventions in early detection and prevention of obesity and diabetes risks, highlighting the potential for sustainable health promotion strategies targeting adolescents.

Stunting remains a major public health problem affecting human resource quality, one of the causes of which is suboptimal complementary feeding practices. This community empowerment activity aimed to improve the knowledge of mothers of infants aged 0–12 months regarding complementary feeding as an effort to prevent stunting. The method used was health education through interactive lectures, distribution of leaflets, and food texture demonstration tools, accompanied by pretest and posttest evaluation. The activity involved 20 mothers who had been previously registered. The results showed an increase in the average knowledge score from 7.6 in the pretest to 8.8 in the posttest. This improvement indicates that the education provided effectively enhanced mothers' understanding, particularly regarding the timing of feeding, age-appropriate food texture, and nutritional adequacy. Overall, this community empowerment activity contributed to improving maternal knowledge and has the potential to support appropriate feeding practices to prevent stunting sustainably. It is recommended that community empowerment activities be conducted in a sustainable, integrated manner to expand the reach of complementary feeding (MP-ASI) education to a broader population of mothers of young children.

Digital transformation in local governance has become a strategic necessity in the information era. Bunaken District in Manado City faces administrative management challenges that remain manual, resulting in service delays and limited public access to information. This article discusses a community service program aimed at improving the efficiency of public administration through website training based on a Content Management System (CMS) for Bunaken District officials. The program adopts a structured three-stage approach: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The training equips participants with the technical skills to develop and maintain an official district website that provides public service information and facilitates online document submission. Results indicate improved digital competencies among officials and the successful development of a functional website. This article contributes practical insights for local digital transformation; however, its academic depth is limited, as it does not extensively evaluate long-term administrative impacts or theoretical frameworks.

Pelatihan dan Pengenalan Aplikasi SolidWorks kepada Siswa-Siswi SMK MVP ARS Internasional Bandung

Mastery of computer-based design software has become an increasingly essential competency in today's industrial world, particularly in the era of Industry 4.0. However, most vocational high school (SMK) students have not yet received adequate training in using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) applications. This community service activity aimed to introduce and train Grade X students in the Motorcycle Engineering and Business program at SMK MVP ARS Internasional Bandung in the basic operation of SolidWorks. The training was conducted over four days using a hands-on approach, covering technical drawing fundamentals, introductions to the SolidWorks interface, 2D sketching, 3D modeling, Circular Pattern features, and engineering drawing labels (e-drawing). As a result, 15 out of 30 students successfully completed the gear modeling task independently. Furthermore, teachers responded positively to the activity and expressed interest in integrating CAD materials into the school curriculum. This activity has made a tangible contribution to improving students' digital literacy and work readiness in the field of engineering.

Sosialisasi Budaya Sekolah Aman dan Nyaman di SMA Negeri 4 Palangka Raya

This community service program aimed to strengthen school stakeholders’ understanding, implementation readiness, and follow-up direction regarding the Regulation of the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Number 6 of 2026 on Safe and Comfortable School Culture at SMA Negeri 4 Palangka Raya. The program was carried out through an educative and participatory socialization model integrated with pretest and posttest questionnaires, a participant satisfaction survey, open-ended responses, activity observation, and documentation. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively using means, while qualitative data were examined thematically to interpret school-level implementation needs. A total of 53 participants completed the pretest, 44 completed the posttest, and 21 completed the satisfaction survey. The mean pretest score was 4.71, and the mean posttest score was 4.72 on a 1-5 scale, indicating that participants already had a good initial understanding, while the program mainly strengthened more operational aspects, including the four BSAN pillars, the distinction between non-criminal case handling and cross-sector referrals, student participation, and digital safety. The mean satisfaction score reached 4.75. Qualitative findings suggest the need to translate the policy into school rules, standard operating procedures, reporting channels, case-handling simulations, digital literacy efforts, and stronger partnerships with parents and the school committee. The program confirms that policy socialization can effectively serve as an initial stage in strengthening school culture when accompanied by needs assessment and concrete follow-up planning.

Optimalisasi Pemanfaatan Teknologi Otomasi dan Energi Terbarukan di BLK Don Bosco Sumba Melalui Pelatihan Industri 4.0

The community service program aims to improve the technical skills of students and instructors at the Don Bosco Job Training Center (BLK) in Sumba through the application of Industry 4.0 technologies. The training focused on three main aspects: programming and operating the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), product design using SolidWorks software and 3D printing, and designing and installing Solar Power Plant (PLTS) systems. The results of this activity showed that the training successfully increased participants' understanding of industrial automation technology and renewable energy. PLCs allow students to operate industrial automation control systems, while training in SolidWorks and 3D printing enables participants to understand digital design and manufacturing fundamentals. In the solar PV training, participants could design and assemble a simple solar PV system suitable for use in the local environment. This training also helps optimize existing facilities, such as PLCs and 3D printers, that have not been used to their full potential. This program significantly enhances participants' skills and readiness to face future developments in industrial technology and renewable energy.

Leveraging Artificial Intelligence in Mathematics Education to Enhance Students' Digital Literacy and Problem-Solving Skills

This community engagement initiative aims to enhance the digital competence of teachers and students by integrating AI technologies into mathematics learning. The methodology encompassed counseling, training, practical workshops, mentoring, and evaluation involving 40 participants, comprising lower secondary school mathematics teachers and students. The program utilized applications such as ChatGPT, Gemini AI, Canva AI, and GeoGebra AI as interactive learning media. The results demonstrate that deploying AI effectively increases student engagement, strengthens mathematical problem-solving skills, and boosts teachers' creativity in designing digital learning media. Furthermore, this initiative fosters a more adaptive and contextual advancement of participants' digital literacy. Consequently, Artificial Intelligence holds significant potential to support the transformation of technology-driven mathematics education in the digital era.

Pengenalan Profesi Pawang Gajah menggunakan Media Komik untuk Siswa SMP

This community service program is motivated by the limited understanding among middle school students of conservation-related professions, particularly elephant tamers (mahouts), and by the lack of engaging, contextual learning media. The program aims to introduce the mahout profession through an educational comic based on local potential at Way Kambas National Park. A collaborative approach using design thinking and participatory methods was applied, consisting of preparation, media development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The main output was an educational comic titled “Mahout Si Penjaga Gajah,” designed to suit adolescent characteristics. The implementation included collective reading activities, discussions, and educational sessions supported by pretest and posttest assessments. The results indicate an improvement in students’ understanding, with the average score increasing from 6.33 to 6.87, and notable gains in previously weak knowledge areas. Additionally, students’ interest in the topic was relatively high, with an average score of 77%. These findings suggest that comic-based media is an effective alternative educational tool for introducing conservation professions and can serve as contextual teaching material for educators. Therefore, story-based visual media has the potential to enhance both students' understanding and interest in environmental and conservation-related careers.

Integrasi Skrining Penyakit Tidak Menular dan Edukasi Sanitasi Berbasis Sekolah di SMA Negeri 13 Makassar

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and sanitation-related problems remain important public health concerns that require early prevention through promotive and preventive approaches, including within school communities. This community service activity aimed to screen teachers for risk factors associated with NCDs and to improve students’ knowledge of sanitation and clean and healthy living practices at SMA Negeri 13 Makassar. The activity employed a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design involving 22 teachers and 29 students. Health screening among teachers included measurements of blood pressure, random blood glucose, total cholesterol, and uric acid levels, and urinalysis assessing urinary protein, pH, and specific gravity. Sanitation education for students was delivered through a rotating curriculum comprising three sessions: chemistry and nutrition; microbiology and parasitology; and physiology and urinalysis. Students’ knowledge was evaluated using pretests and posttests. Based on the categorization of examination results, 7 teachers (32%) had elevated blood pressure, 8 (36%) had high blood pressure, 3 (14%) had elevated random blood glucose levels, 15 (68%) had total cholesterol levels above the normal reference range, and 8 (36%) had uric acid levels above the normal reference range. In addition, 7 teachers (32%) had urinary specific gravity values outside the normal range. The sanitation education intervention produced a moderate improvement in students’ knowledge (N-gain = 0.54) regarding the importance of personal hygiene, environmental sanitation, and disease prevention through healthy behaviors. These findings indicate that integrating health screening and sanitation education within the school environment is a relevant strategy, as the screening successfully identified several NCD risk factors among teachers.

Edukasi Literasi Digital Partisipatif melalui Storytelling dalam Meningkatkan Keamanan dan Komunikasi Orang Tua-Anak di Ruang Digital

This community service activity aims to improve digital literacy, digital security awareness, and the quality of communication between parents and children in the digital space. The activity was carried out at the Alang-Alang Foundation in Ciawi, Bogor, using a participatory approach based on experiential learning that integrates digital security education, dialogic communication through "Digital Talk - Mom & Me," and storytelling training as an alternative non-gadget literacy activity. The methods used included education, direct practice, and interactive discussions involving parents, children, and the foundation. Evaluation was carried out through observation and a reflective questionnaire completed by 16 respondents. The results of the activity showed that the majority of participants gave positive responses, with the categories strongly agree and agree dominating across indicators of digital literacy understanding, data security, communication, and self-confidence. In addition, this activity produced digital educational content that can be utilized more widely by the community. These findings indicate that the integration of digital literacy and participatory storytelling can be an effective approach to building family communication and increasing awareness of the wise use of technology. This program also has the potential to be developed sustainably in the context of community-based digital literacy.

Edukasi Sanitasi dan Higiene serta Swamedikasi Rasional sebagai Upaya Pencegahan dan Penanganan Risiko Penyakitnya di Desa Putat Nutug, Kabupaten Bogor

Sanitation is one of the efforts aimed at enhancing public health because poor sanitation can be a source of various diseases, thereby affecting public health. Sanitation should commence at the individual level through the practice of clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS) in daily life. Diseases that commonly arise due to poor sanitation include diarrhea, skin diseases such as itching, and respiratory infections such as coughs and colds. These conditions are generally considered mild health complaints that can often occur through self-medication. Public health issues in Putat Nutug Village, Ciseeng District, Bogor Regency are related to environmental cleanliness and healthy living behavior. This study aims to increase community awareness of the importance of sanitation and hygiene and to improve the community’s ability to perform appropriate and safe self-medication. The approach was a descriptive method through health education sessions, while a quantitative method was used to evaluate the outcomes of the education using questionnaires. A total of 19 respondents participated, the majority of whom were women (84%) and housewives (74%). Based on the results of the pretest and posttest consisting of 10 questions, an increase in scores was observed for each question item. These results indicate an improvement in participants’ knowledge after the educational intervention, suggesting that the health education activity was effective in increasing the community's understanding in Putat Nutug Village. Overall, the participants’ average score also increased by 22.11% from the pre-test to post-test results.

Peningkatan Tata Kelola Budidaya Ikan Papuyu melalui Sekolah Lapang di Kabupaten Banjar, Kalimantan Selatan

Papuyu fish (Anabas testudineus), a native commodity of South Kalimantan, has high economic and cultural value, yet its management still faces various technical, managerial, and institutional challenges. This community service activity aims to enhance farmers’ capacity through a Field School Program on papuyu fish farming management in Karang Intan Village, Karang Intan District, Banjar Regency. The method employed a participatory and applicative approach, including socialization, material delivery, discussions, and field practice, involving 25 farmers selected through saturated sampling. The training materials covered pond and water quality management, selection of superior seeds, feed management, disease control, and farm record-keeping. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ capacity, reflected in increased understanding of water quality management (45%), feeding accuracy (40%), disease identification skills (50%), and farm record-keeping implementation (55%). Technical impacts were also observed, including an increase in fish survival rate from 65% to 82% and an improvement in feed efficiency of approximately 20%. Additionally, institutional strengthening was evident through increased member participation and improved coordination with extension officers and local government. This program demonstrates that field schools are effective as a community-based aquaculture empowerment model.

Exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Banyumas Regency remains at 57.8%, well below the national target of 80%. Working mothers are at the highest risk of exclusive breastfeeding failure due to limited time, inadequate lactation facilities, and insufficient knowledge of expressed breast milk management. This activity aimed to improve the knowledge of pregnant working women about exclusive breastfeeding, milk expression techniques, storage, and expressed-milk feeding practices. The activity was conducted in July 2025 in Karangtengah Village, Baturraden District, Banyumas Regency, involving 15 pregnant working women. Methods included educational lectures, practical simulations, and discussion sessions. Effectiveness was assessed using a pretest–posttest design with a structured knowledge instrument. The Working Mothers Exclusive Breastfeeding Success Community proved effective in enhancing knowledge among pregnant working women. Community-based educational interventions during pregnancy can strengthen mothers' readiness and motivation to sustain exclusive breastfeeding regardless of employment status. The continuous expansion of this program into other areas is recommended to support the national exclusive breastfeeding targets and contribute to stunting prevention.

Jumantik Cilik Training for Students of Elementary School 09 Kubu Raya: Empowering School Children as Agents of Change in Dengue Fever Prevention Using Audio Visual and Practical Methods

Dengue fever (DF) remains a major health problem in Indonesia, including in the Kubu Raya District, West Kalimantan. Student involvement as young volunteers of the Larva Monitoring Project (Jumantik Cilik) is expected to be an effective prevention strategy. This Jumantik Cilik training aims to improve students’ knowledge about DF and the Dengue Vector Control (PSN). The program involved 50 fifth- and sixth-grade students from Elementary School 09 Kubu Raya through lectures, audiovisual presentations, and hands-on practice. Knowledge was assessed using pretest and posttest questionnaires. The average pretest score was 6.46 (95% CI: 6.10–6.81), and the posttest average score was 9.06 (95% CI: 8.83–9.28). The Shapiro-Wilk test confirmed a normal distribution (p>0.05), and the Paired t-Test showed significant differences between the pretest and posttest scores (p<0.001). These findings show that Jumantik Cilik training effectively increased students’ knowledge of DF and PSN. This strategy is applicable as an educational approach to support sustainable Dengue control and can be replicated in other schools.

This community service program aimed to enhance community understanding and motivation in developing goat farming as an alternative source of income amid heavy dependence on the mining and oil palm plantation sectors. The activity was conducted in Long Beleh Haloq, Long Beleh Modang, and Muai villages, Kembang Janggut Subdistrict, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, targeting rural communities. The method employed was participatory socialization combined with interactive discussions. The results indicated that community participation reached approximately 80% of the targeted participants. Qualitatively, there was an improvement in knowledge, changes in attitudes, and increased motivation among community members toward goat farming as a sustainable economic opportunity. Furthermore, initial initiatives emerged from the community to start goat-farming businesses, both individually and collectively. This program has the potential to generate positive impacts on income diversification, strengthening of social institutions, and more optimal utilization of local resources. However, further assistance and technical support are required to ensure program sustainability. Therefore, a goat farming-based community empowerment model can serve as an effective strategy to enhance the economic independence of rural communities.

The growing elderly population in Indonesia presents challenges to physical, psychological, and social health. Elderly individuals living in social care institutions are at risk of experiencing loneliness, cognitive decline, and reduced meaningful activities, all of which may negatively affect their quality of life. This community service program aimed to improve mental health awareness and life skills among elderly residents at Balai Pelayanan Sosial Tresna Wreda (BPSTW) Abiyoso. The program involved 17 elderly participants and was implemented using a participatory approach through interactive counseling sessions, small-group discussions, and therapeutic activities. Program evaluation was conducted through participatory observation, documentation of participants' activities, and pre-tests and post-tests to measure participants’ level of understanding of elderly mental health. The observation results indicated that group activity-based interventions increased elderly responses and participation, with an average improvement of 31.8%. In addition, the pre-test and post-test results showed an increase in participants’ average understanding score from 58.8 to 77.6, representing a 31.9% improvement. Positive changes were also observed in the emotional and cognitive aspects of the elderly, as reflected in increased self-confidence, attention focus, and communication among participants. Based on these findings, the mental health counseling and life skills training program had a positive impact on the psychosocial well-being of the elderly at BPSTW Abiyoso Yogyakarta.

Pelatihan Keterampilan Presentasi Bahasa Inggris bagi Remaja Musala Al-Hidayah di Tangerang Kota

This community service program aimed to provide positive activities for youth in order to enliven the mosque while equipping them with skills that support their learning at school, particularly English presentation skills. The partner for this program was the youth community of Al-Hidayah Musala in Tanah Tinggi, Tangerang City. The main problems faced by the partner included the limited number of volunteers who could provide training for the youth, the lack of non-formal educational activities to enhance their general knowledge, and limited access to additional English learning outside school. To address these problems, the community service team conducted an English presentation training program using a participatory approach consisting of preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The training activities included material presentations, discussions, guided practice, performance presentations, and feedback sessions. The materials were designed in context, based on the participants’ daily experiences, so they could be understood and practiced more easily. The results of the program showed that the training improved the participants’ basic understanding of the structure and techniques of English presentations, provided them with direct experience in speaking in front of an audience, and increased their confidence in using simple English. In addition, this program also strengthened the role of the musala as a productive and educational space for youth development. Therefore, English presentation training for the youth of Al-Hidayah Musala can serve as a relevant form of non-formal education in supporting youth capacity building within the community.

Cimanggung Village, Sumedang Regency, is an industrial area that still faces poverty-related challenges, highlighting the need for community empowerment through local creative economic development. This community service program aimed to improve creative economy skills and entrepreneurial understanding of tenth-grade students at SMK Al-Amah Cimanggung through an Ecoprint Totebag Workshop and Entrepreneurship Training using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) method. The program was conducted on January 29, 2026, involving 56 students, with an evaluation of 35 respondents using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The activities included ecoprint tote bag production using local natural materials, Business Model Canvas training, and an introduction to digital marketing. The results showed that all participants successfully produced ecoprint tote bags with marketable potential. Descriptive statistical analysis indicated high levels of students’ interest and entrepreneurial understanding, although risk-taking courage and independent application of BMC still require further strengthening. Overall, this program supports the development of students’ skills and entrepreneurial mindset as part of creative economy-based poverty alleviation efforts in Cimanggung Village.

This introduction is integrated with science learning, engaging students in the entire process from seedling to harvest. The program employed a qualitative approach, specifically Empowerment-Based Research (EBR), with 15 fifth- and sixth-grade students selected via purposive sampling. The results indicate that students are interested in learning and practicing cultivation techniques for aquaponics and aeroponics. It is anticipated that these techniques will be implemented at higher educational levels and applied in urban schools, ensuring the program's sustainability.

Implementasi Diabetes Self-Management Education untuk Meningkatkan Pengetahuan Pasien Diabetes Mellitus

Diabetes mellitus management depends not only on medical treatment but also on patients’ ability to understand and manage their condition in daily life. Health education programs at primary healthcare facilities, such as community health centers (Puskesmas), have been widely implemented; however, their delivery has not been fully structured, and their outcomes have rarely been evaluated systematically. This community service program aimed to improve patients’ knowledge by implementing Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) at Palakka Community Health Center, Bone Regency. The program consisted of three components and four stages: preparation through needs assessment and development of educational materials based on identified needs; implementation through pre-testing and structured educational sessions; and evaluation through post-testing. A total of 32 patients with diabetes mellitus participated in all program activities. The mean knowledge score before the educational intervention was 11.2 out of 20 (56%) and increased to 16.4 out of 20 (82%) after the intervention, representing an improvement of 5.2 points. These findings indicate a trend toward short-term improvement in patients’ knowledge following the educational program. This increase in knowledge may serve as an initial step in supporting diabetes management at the primary healthcare level.

Character education is crucial to instill from an early age, as it serves as an essential foundation for shaping the nation’s personality and moral values. In the current era of globalization and digitalization, local values and social ethics are often marginalized within formal education processes. This Community Service Program (PKM), carried out by a team of lecturers from Universitas Borneo Lestari at SDN Cindai Alus 1, Martapura, Banjar Regency, aims to enhance students’ understanding of legal values and character based on local Kalimantan wisdom. The activities were conducted by involving fifth-grade students as the primary participants. The implementation methods included problem identification through observation and interviews; the development of educational leaflets and booklets on character education; and storytelling sessions using Kalimantan folktales that convey values of justice, responsibility, togetherness, and legal education. Evaluation was conducted using simple pretests and posttests to assess changes in students’ understanding. The results showed a 75% improvement in students' comprehension of legal and more humanistic character values. Local-culture-based storytelling proved effective in fostering cultural identity and contextual understanding of the law, while the educational leaflets and booklets helped translate abstract concepts into concrete learning experiences. This program also raised teachers’ awareness of the importance of character education rooted in local culture.

Peningkatan Literasi Kesehatan Mata melalui Edukasi Berbasis Komunitas pada Masyarakat Cilandak Timur, Jakarta

Refractive error is a preventable visual disorder that remains underrecognized by the general public, particularly among children. This community service project aimed to enhance public literacy on eye health and to demonstrate a simple, community-based screening method known as MELIHAT. The intervention included structured counseling, group discussions, and practical demonstrations of visual acuity screening that can be conducted at home. Evaluation was carried out using pre- and posttests, with data analyzed using the McNemar test. Of the 96 participants who completed the pretest, 86 completed the posttest. Statistically significant improvements were observed across all knowledge indicators, including understanding of myopia (from 51.8% to 98.8%) and awareness of the need for regular eye examinations (from 25.6% to 97.6%). These findings indicate improvements in participants’ knowledge, awareness, and commitment regarding early detection and routine eye examinations. Therefore, this community-based educational approach may be considered for implementation in other areas with similar characteristics.

Reproductive health is a crucial issue during adolescence, often hindered by limited access to accurate information. Insufficient knowledge of physiological changes and health risks can lead to risk-taking behaviors. This community service activity aims to enhance students' understanding of reproductive health through an educational approach involving poster creation. The implementation method employed a pre-test and post-test design to evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention, which consisted of material counseling and an educational poster-making among 26 seventh-grade students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) 15 Boyolali. The evaluation results indicated an average increase in knowledge scores of 8.46 points (from 80.77 to 89.23). The majority of participants (69.2%) showed an increase in their knowledge scores, indicating that poster-making as a creative medium has the potential to strengthen information retention among students. This success suggests that integrating verbal education and poster-making is key to optimizing reproductive health literacy in the madrasah environment in a more effective and meaningful way for adolescents. As a follow-up, it is recommended to develop a more comprehensive evaluation that includes behavioral aspects, alongside sustainable mentoring programs that involve guidance and counseling teachers to support the internalization of health information and ensure long-term behavioral impact within the school environment.

Pemberdayaan Kampung Janda di Kota Banjarbaru Melalui Pendampingan dan Pelatihan Buket Bunga dan Buket Uang

The village known as Kampung Janda is actually called Kampung Batuah and is located in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, specifically in Kemuning Village. Most of the residents are women who have lost their husbands, ranging in age from 25 to elderly, even over 60 years old. Most of them earn a living through informal work, opening small businesses along the banks of the Kemuning River, such as coffee shops, yellow rice stalls, grilled fish stalls, grocery stores, and basic food stalls. In addition, some residents work as assistants in cake shops, bakers and pastry chefs, mobile laundry workers, and cleaners. Another approach to boosting revenue and enhancing the quality of life is to teach the community how to create bouquets. In line with the government's plan to reduce poverty and promote welfare by utilizing local resources, this program aims to develop skills, create business opportunities, and support family economic independence. Members of the family welfare empowerment group in RT 03 RW 01 and young women received training and mentoring in creating flower and money bouquets as part of the community empowerment initiative, which also included marketing strategy advice. Twelve groups of twenty-four individuals, ranging in age from eighteen to sixty-one, participated in the training. Each group was guided by a student. Each group created two flower bouquets and money bouquets, which they prepared for marketing by skillfully arranging them with their own ingenuity. The training participants felt encouraged to take advantage of this as an additional income to boost their earnings.

This community service initiative aims to transform these teaching methods by introducing innovative, interactive media based on local wetland wisdom. The project successfully implemented custom QR-code-based Interactive Flashcards that dynamically bridge physical cards and immersive digital assets, such as native-speaker audio and vibrant visual animations, using a collaborative Participatory Action Research approach that included comprehensive socialization, hands-on digital pedagogical training for teachers, structured classroom application, and continuous evaluation. The integration of this low-cost, high-impact technology successfully enhanced young students' vocabulary retention and memory, stimulated active participation in learning, and significantly strengthened educators' sustainable digital literacy, providing a highly scalable and contextualized model for localized digital early childhood learning.

Preserving local culture is an important step in maintaining the nation's identity and noble values amid the strong currents of globalization. One of the cultures that needs to be preserved is the Rondhing Dance, a traditional dance typical of Pamekasan Regency, which is full of historical and philosophical meaning and reflects the struggle of the Madurese people. The Rondhing Dance is a traditional art native to Pamekasan Regency, Madura, East Java, which was designated as an Indonesian Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2025. The Rondhing Dance is not only for entertainment, but also a symbol of Pamekasan's cultural identity. This dance is often performed at official government events, regional celebrations, and other cultural activities, and is preserved through schools and art studios. This community service activity aims to introduce, train, and rekindle students' interest in Pamekasan's heritage, namely the Rondhing Dance, through the PELITA (Children's Dance Training) program at SDN Bugih 3 Pamekasan. The activity is implemented using a collaborative learning approach through interactive lectures, demonstrations, drills, and dance-practice mentoring. The results of the activity show that students are very enthusiastic and can understand and practice the basic movements of the Rondhing Dance well and flexibly. In addition to enhancing dance skills, this activity also instills cultural values, a spirit of togetherness, and a sense of pride in regional heritage. Thus, this training program is a strategic step in preserving the Rondhing Dance in Pamekasan and strengthening local wisdom-based education in elementary schools.

Fish processing activities generate organic waste, including fish scales and processing residues, which may cause environmental pollution if not properly managed. However, these wastes have the potential to be used as plant nutrients and organic fertilizers, adding economic value. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of members of the Aceh Fish Jelly Production Cooperative in processing fishery waste by applying appropriate technology based on community empowerment. The program was implemented through socialization, training, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and mentoring. Fish scales were processed into calcium powder for plant nutrition, while fish processing residues were converted into liquid organic fertilizer through a fermentation process. Evaluation was conducted using initial and final assessments as well as observations of participants’ practical skills. The results showed an increase in the average score from 58.60 in the initial assessment to 82.93 in the final assessment, representing a 41.52% improvement. In addition, all participants achieved a high skill category after completing the training and were able to independently produce calcium powder and liquid organic fertilizer from fishery waste. The application of appropriate technology for processing fishery waste was effective in enhancing community knowledge and skills, reducing the potential for environmental pollution, and promoting the conversion of waste into useful, economically valuable products.

This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of an orphanage-based micro-enterprise through product diversification, digital marketing support, and brand strengthening. The partner was Abadi Aisyiyah Orphanage in Parepare City, which manages a banana chips business. The program was implemented through initial observation, training on the utilization of banana pseudostem, digital marketing assistance, packaging and branding development, and program evaluation. The results showed an improvement in participants’ knowledge, with the mean score increasing from 50.00 to 80.50, a completion rate of 90%, and a normalized gain score of 0.61. The program also produced a new product in the form of banana pseudostem chips, activated digital marketing channels, and improved the partner’s brand and packaging concepts. In addition, the estimated monthly turnover increased from IDR 1,450,000 to IDR 2,050,000. These findings indicate that integrating product innovation, marketing digitalization, and branding can strengthen business readiness while supporting entrepreneurial learning in the orphanage environment.

Edukasi Kesehatan Reproduksi untuk Meningkatkan Pengetahuan tentang Menstruasi pada Siswi Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

Adolescent girls encounter more demanding challenges, not only numerous physical and psychological transformations, but also an earlier age at the onset of puberty due to various factors. An appropriate strategy is to provide early puberty-related knowledge support through health promotion programs that engage multiple stakeholders, including schools. This community service activity delivered reproductive health education to 36 schoolgirls at Islamic Elementary School Attarbiyatul Islamiyah Kudus, with the objective of enhancing their knowledge and readiness for puberty. The educational approach combined demonstrations, discussions, games, roleplay, and attractive audiovisual media. Knowledge levels were assessed using questionnaires containing 18 questions on puberty-related topics. The results indicated positive responses, evidenced by the students' participation and enthusiasm. The mean score increased from 65.5 to 74.0, indicating an improvement of 8.5 points. All students (100%) achieved scores above 50 after the intervention, compared with 89% prior to it. This activity highlights that providing reproductive health education from an early age not only enhances knowledge and pubertal readiness but also helps early adolescents in defining body boundaries, thereby protecting them from various forms of sexual violence. Schools are encouraged to play a role by integrating puberty and reproductive health education into both the curriculum and school programs.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in improving community welfare and regional economic development; however, their management still faces limitations in managerial, financial, production, and marketing aspects. This Community Service activity aims to identify the business management conditions of MSME members of the Sumber Sejahtera Credit Union Cooperative (CU SUTERA) as a basis for developing a targeted and sustainable business assistance system. The method used was a qualitative approach through interviews with six MSME members of CU SUTERA in Banjarbaru City, with data analyzed descriptively. The results show that most MSMEs still face challenges in financial record-keeping, lack production standard operating procedures, have limited product and packaging innovation, and rely on conventional marketing with limited use of digital technology. Based on these findings, a cooperative-based MSME assistance model was developed, covering financial assistance, production and innovation, digital marketing, and the strengthening of managerial and human resource capacities. This model is expected to strengthen the role of cooperatives as centers of member economic empowerment and to improve the independence, competitiveness, and sustainability of MSME businesses within CU SUTERA.

The massive increase in coffee consumption has led to the accumulation of spent coffee grounds that are not yet optimally utilized, particularly in coffee-producing areas such as Temanggung Regency. This community service program aims to empower women in the PKK group in Tlogowero Village through training in processing coffee waste into economically valuable aromatherapy candles. The novelty of this program lies in the integration of three key aspects: the use of local waste, the creation of marketable aromatherapy products, and the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which emphasizes existing community strengths. The implementation method includes local asset identification, program design, participatory training based on a learning-by-doing approach, and evaluation using structured questionnaires distributed to 20 participants. The evaluation results indicate that 85% of participants showed improved understanding of waste management, 80% acquired technical skills in candle-making, 70% became aware of the economic potential of waste, and 65% expressed interest in developing small-scale businesses. From an economic perspective, the per-unit profit margin ranges from 131% to 208%, with the potential to generate an additional IDR 425,000–675,000 per household per month. This program contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDGs 5, 8, and 12. Further assistance and the establishment of micro-cooperatives are recommended to ensure the program's sustainability.

Pemberdayaan PKK Sukabakti Curug melalui Pelatihan Produksi Opak Tempe sebagai Diversifikasi Pangan Lokal

Tempeh is an Indonesian functional food rich in protein and bioactive compounds; however, its relatively short shelf life may lead to economic losses for producers. This issue is also experienced by the PKK community in Sukabakti Village, Curug, where many members are home-scale tempeh producers. This community service program aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in processing unsold tempeh into value-added products by producing opak tempe (tempeh crackers). The program was implemented through several stages, including formulation preparation, educational sessions, hands-on practice in producing opak tempe, and evaluation through questionnaires. The activity was conducted at the Food Processing Laboratory of Universitas Pelita Harapan and involved 23 participants. Evaluation results showed that 100% of participants perceived the activity as beneficial and expressed interest in participating in similar programs in the future, while 92% were willing to recommend opak tempe to others. These findings indicate that training in tempeh product diversification has the potential to increase product value and contribute to community economic empowerment.
