The family needs to be placed as the actor or subject. Families design forms of assistance because their basic needs are understood by the family. The family should not be placed as an object that merely receives coaching. The purpose of the community service program consists of two, namely first to initiate an active family village, and second to foster a Blessed, Safe, and Happy family based on Islamic psychology and culture. This service program uses the Sustainable Livelihood Approach (SLA) approach. This approach allows the family as an actor to design a service program. Active family involvement in every activity process. Data collection was carried out using the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method. Data was collected through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) process and using a family schedule tool. The results of the program show that firstly the formation of four family development cadre structures, namely Old Age cadres, Youth Family Development Cadres, Integrated Service Post Cadres, and Toddler Family Development Cadres, secondly active family coaching through parenting assistance children through discussion of family goals, family and child needs, the child's personality structure in the perspective of Islamic-Bugis psychology.
Ramli Ramli Adnan Achiruddin Saleh Copyright (c) 2024 Ramli Ramli, Adnan Achiruddin Saleh https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-07-12 2024-07-12 9 6 10.33084/pengabdianmu.v9i6.6710 Implementasi Good Handling Practices sebagai Upaya Optimalisasi Penanganan Pascapanen Jeruk Lemon https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/6954
Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije), a competency-based higher education institution, has developed a Teaching Factory (TeFa) with various forms and types of products. TeFa Kebun Inovasi consistently produces various food and horticultural crop products, including lemons. The problem is that post-harvest handling of lemons still needs to be improved, impacting product quality. Apart from that, the still low demand for lemons is also a challenge that needs to be resolved. Therefore, efforts are being made to optimize post-harvest lemon handling by implementing Good Handling Practices (GHP). The method for implementing service activities is through direct assistance, evaluation, and feedback from the service team to partners. The results of service activities include (1) mentoring activities were participated in by partners (Innovation Garden management staff) and were carried out well; (2) the success of mentoring activities is measured using six indicators, namely skills in detecting fruit that meets harvest criteria, skills in harvesting according to procedures (SOP), skills in sorting and grading, labeling, and skills in storing and packaging; and (3) the evaluation results show that there is a significant increase in skills in terms of post-harvest handling of lemons at TeFa Kebun Inovasi dan Nursery Kebun Potong before and after the implementation of service activities.
Tia Sofiani Napitupulu Sumarlina Sumarlina Aulia Nadhirah Amalia Dwi Marseva Harish Nuruzzaman Copyright (c) 2024 Tia Sofiani Napitupulu, Sumarlina Sumarlina, Aulia Nadhirah, Amalia Dwi Marseva, Harish Nuruzzaman https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-07-12 2024-07-12 9 6 10.33084/pengabdianmu.v9i6.6954 Peningkatan Partisipasi Politik Pemilih Pemula melalui Preferensi Politik Media Sosial pada Pemilu 2024 https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/6832
This article focuses on social media activities by beginning voters at SMAN 12 Semarang City for forming their political preferences of the 2024 election. Basil leaves are known to have the benefit of helping lower blood pressure. From field observations, many people in the village have a history of hypertension. Apart from that, people don't know how to prepare basil leaf tea as an alternative to help lower blood pressure. The target of community service was chosen to be young people from youth organizations considering that there were no activities in the health sector and also based on teenagers' ability to grasp understanding more easily than the elderly. Given the problems and the abundant availability of natural materials, there is a need for community service in the area. This service aims to improve the health of the people of Cepagan Village through Karang Taruna youth by providing education to increase health understanding through drinking basil leaf tea to help reduce hypertension. Service is carried out by presenting material and interactive discussions. The number of service participants was 22 participants. The pretest and posttest describe participants' understanding before and after service. The evaluation results show that the pretest score (5-14%) increased on the posttest (91-100%). In this case, the role of the family, especially parents, is very important as role models or role models that children can emulate in their environment, both at school and at home. Elementary school-age students generally like animated films or cartoons. However, not all animated films or cartoons can teach good values and strengthen character to elementary school students. The animated film Nussa and Rara was chosen because this animated film provides many examples of manners and manners towards parents and teachers as well as manners in getting along with friends. As part of an educated society, the writing process is a means for students to increase their insight, sensitivity, and soft skills before entering the world of work. However, not all students think that writing scientific papers, especially articles, is an easy job. Meanwhile, recently, there have been a lot of software and web applications that can help students compose articles easily, one of which is Publish or Perish. It is hoped that the socialization activity regarding the use of Publish or Perish can increase the enthusiasm and attraction of students to be more active in writing scientific papers. The workshop was carried out in two steps, starting with introducing the software and applying search results to several types of articles, namely bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review. Typically, it results in swelling, redness, and pain in one or multiple joints, particularly in the big toe. This condition is associated with high levels of uric acid in the body, triggering harrowing gout attacks. Thus, physical activities and health education are initial steps in addressing pain complaints and elevations in uric acid levels among older adults and individuals with gout arthritis. This involves providing ergonomic exercise training through lectures, simulations, and practice sessions. The results show a reduction in pain intensity among older adults before and after the activity conducted over a month with four meetings. Furthermore, there is an expectation for the government and stakeholders to introduce scheduled and community-based structured activities as an initial step in addressing health issues, particularly among older adults.
Abdul Somad Detiana Detiana Lusiana Lusiana Wahyu Dwi Ari Wibowo Copyright (c) 2024 Abdul Somad, Detiana Detiana, Lusiana Lusiana, Wahyu Dwi Ari Wibowo https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-07-12 2024-07-12 9 6 10.33084/pengabdianmu.v9i6.6786 Pembentukan Kader Juru Pemantau Jentik (JUMANTIK) pada Kader Kesehatan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Pagar Agung Kecamatan Lahat, Indonesia Tahun 2023 https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/6781
Dengue hemorrhagic fever, or DHF, is a common disease affecting many countries worldwide, particularly in Southeast Asia and the Western Pacific. It is estimated that there are 100–400 million infections annually. Although there is no specific treatment for this virus, controlling mosquito vectors remains the primary focus in controlling its spread. The formation of mosquito surveillance cadres is a crucial strategy in reducing DHF cases by monitoring breeding sites of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. Training for these cadres and clean village activities are vital for enhancing public knowledge and awareness of DHF prevention. The characteristics of this media are that it contains content, context, and types of Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) questions. This is motivated by the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum which is based on numeracy literacy which is not yet optimal. The implementation method is training and mentoring by a lecturer service team and a community service team by students (PMM Mitra Lecturer) targeting teachers at Muhammadiyah 3 Kepanjen Middle School. The success of this service program is the creation of learning media that includes the concept of numeracy literacy. The results of the training and mentoring that have been carried out are the formation of learning media within the context of literacy activities and connections between subjects. It should be noted that previously teachers had never created learning media so learning at school used the 2013 Curriculum student books. All of this learning media was developed using PowerPoint. The next recommendation for the community service program is teacher assistance in creating AKM-type questions.
Moh. Mahfud Effendi Hendarto Cahyono Siti Khoiruli Ummah Copyright (c) 2024 Moh.
