Pengolahan Sampah untuk Mendukung Desa Mandiri Budaya Berkelanjutan di Panggungharjo https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10790
Panggungharjo Village, located in Sewon Subdistrict, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, holds a strategic position due to its cultural significance within Yogyakarta's special status. The village leverages this position to develop Kawasan Karangkitri as an integrated hub for artistic, tourism, economic, and environmental activities. Aligned with its status as an Independent Cultural Village (Desa Mandiri Budaya), the initiative aims to create a sustainable rural environment, enhance community welfare, and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This community service program focuses on organic waste management through appropriate technology and community empowerment. A key innovation is the development of a compost block-making machine, which not only enhances waste processing efficiency but also adds economic value to the final compost product. Collaboration among the village government, community members, and academics from Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta and Universitas Islam Indonesia has been instrumental in providing skills training and intensive support for organic waste management. The program's outcomes include increased community capacity in environmental management, the emergence of new economic opportunities through compost-based enterprises, and the preservation of social and cultural characteristics. By introducing innovative waste management practices and emphasizing local wisdom, this initiative supports the village's transition into a sustainable tourism destination. With synergy between technology and the community, Panggungharjo Village aspires to be a competitive model of rural development that balances local traditions and innovation, contributing to environmental regeneration and resilience.
Wisnu Setiawan Hijrah Purnama Putra Afif Ari Wibowo Copyright (c) 2026 Wisnu Setiawan, Hijrah Purnama Putra, Afif Ari Wibowo https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-30 2026-01-30 11 Suppl-1 10.33084/pengabdianmu.v11iSuppl-1.10790 Penyuluhan Hukum atas Disahkannya Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 2023 tentang Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana bagi Peserta Penerima Manfaat Program Keluarga Harapan https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10555
Legal literacy among rural communities needs improvement. This community service initiative focuses on criminal law education, chosen because it is one of the branches of legal science closely related to the daily lives of the community. Especially in light of the enactment of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code, the community needs to understand the key differences between the new Criminal Code and the colonial-era Criminal Code. The types of criminal offenses discussed in this education program are also tailored to the legal needs of the community in Gedangan Village, Wirosari Subdistrict, Grobogan District. This community service initiative employs the Service Learning (SL) approach. SL is designed to integrate learning into community service activities. This method is implemented in the planning, implementation, and reflection stages. The activity was carried out smoothly and was enthusiastically received by the community. The presentation of the material also addressed legal issues occurring within the community benefiting from the Program Keluarga Harapan. The pre-test and post-test results showed an improvement from an average score of 3 to 7 (out of a total score of 10). This indicates an increase in the community's legal understanding before and after the legal education activity.
Arina Hukmu Adila Rifi Maria Laila Fitri Permonoputri Copyright (c) 2026 Arina Hukmu Adila, Rifi Maria Laila Fitri Permonoputri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-30 2026-01-30 11 Suppl-1 10.33084/pengabdianmu.v11iSuppl-1.10555 Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru Biologi SMA/MA Kabupaten Bojonegoro Melalui Pelatihan Genetika Molekuler https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/11116
Molecular Genetics has a positive impact on life. The reduction in estrogen during menopause causes both physical and psychological changes. These changes require a challenging adaptation, so proper preparation is essential for women to navigate their menopause optimally. This activity aims to improve the quality of life of menopausal women by increasing knowledge, promoting physical activity, and providing outreach and monitoring of their health and complaints at the Padjadjaran University Clinic. Eleven women aged 43–67 participated in the activity. Blood pressure checks revealed that eight women had pre-hypertension and hypertension. The group exercise session lasted approximately 30 minutes, and all participants performed well. Educational materials included a booklet covering menopause, including its definition, stages, physiological and psychological changes, risk factors for early menopause, nutrition and a healthy lifestyle to reduce menopausal symptoms, support from husbands and families, and when to consult a doctor if experiencing abnormal symptoms. Health workers should not only focus on improving the health of women of reproductive age, but also on the transitional period that occurs in menopausal women, which also requires better attention and management, so that women can experience menopause optimally.
Astuti Dyah Bestari Ghina Salmaa Alfitri Soebekti Najwa Zahira Shofa Keisha Avalokita Padang Nadila Nur Rahma Copyright (c) 2026 Astuti Dyah Bestari, Ghina Salmaa Alfitri Soebekti, Najwa Zahira Shofa, Keisha Avalokita Padang, Nadila Nur Rahma https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-30 2026-01-30 11 Suppl-1 10.33084/pengabdianmu.v11iSuppl-1.11046 Penerapan Teknologi Pengering Hygiene untuk Produk Tepung Mocaf di UMKM Davia Snack https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10442
The purpose of this community service is to apply production technology, specifically a hygiene drying machine, to the Davia Mocaf Flour Business in Majalangu Village, Watukumpul. In Bukittinggi, uncontrolled cat populations and the potential spread of rabies pose significant public health concerns. This community service program aimed to improve animal health and raise public awareness through education on animal care, rabies vaccination, and male cat castration. The activity was attended by 55 community participants who owned pets. A holistic approach was employed, combining medical services—vaccination and castration—with direct community education. The program successfully vaccinated 80 cats and castrated 15 male cats, while significantly increasing community knowledge, as evidenced by pre- and post-test scores (from 6.00 to 9.55). The satisfaction rate among participants reached 96%. These results demonstrated the program's effectiveness in improving animal health, reducing the risk of zoonotic diseases, and raising public awareness about responsible pet care. This model intervention could serve as an example for zoonotic disease control and enhancing animal welfare within communities.
Sucia Fadillah Widia Safitri Nur Rahmi Sedrisa Lidya Pertiwi Varhanno Khallifhatul Khanh Copyright (c) 2026 Sucia Fadillah, Widia Safitri, Nur Rahmi, Sedrisa Lidya Pertiwi, Varhanno Khallifhatul Khanh https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-30 2026-01-30 11 Suppl-1 10.33084/pengabdianmu.v11iSuppl-1.10977 Perancangan Fasilitas Publik Mushola sebagai Penunjang Kegiatan Beibadah Warga Kampung Susun Kunir https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10348
Kampung Susun Kunir is a vertical housing project for residents relocated from riverbank settlements in Jakarta, who face limitations in access to religious facilities. The existing prayer room (mushola) is makeshift, narrow, and inadequate in terms of capacity, comfort, and environmental sustainability. Spiritual activities such as congregational prayers, study groups, and children's religious education play a vital role in strengthening the community's social cohesion. This community service program aimed to design a permanent, contextually appropriate mosque that accommodates the needs of a dense vertical environment while actively involving residents throughout the planning process. The methodology included needs assessment surveys, site observations, focus group discussions, participatory design workshops, and design validation. The outcomes consist of a complete architectural design of the mushola, a modular prototype adaptable to limited space, a technical guide for construction and community-based management, and documentation of participatory processes. All deliverables were developed to be replicable and directly applicable by residents to fulfill the need for sustainable communal religious facilities. Furthermore, the program contributed to students' experiential learning in real-world settings, enhanced community capacity for public space planning, and strengthened collaboration among universities, local communities, and stakeholders to improve the quality of urban life.
Suciati Permata Christy Vidiyanti Tathia Edra Swasti Rahil Muhammad Hasbi Dea Putri Ghassani Copyright (c) 2026 Suciati Permata, Christy Vidiyanti, Tathia Edra Swasti, Rahil Muhammad Hasbi, Dea Putri Ghassani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-30 2026-01-30 11 Suppl-1 S14 S21 10.33084/pengabdianmu.v11iSuppl-1.10348 Sigma Class: Program Pembelajaran Interaktif sebagai Upaya Pengenalan Literasi Data bagi Siswa Pendidikan Dasar https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10966
Primary education is the foundation for developing critical, analytical, and logical thinking skills, making early strengthening of data literacy essential to help students understand, manage, and present information meaningfully. This article examines the implementation of Sigma Class as a program to introduce data literacy through interactive learning for grade five and grade six students in Kelurahan Palam, aiming to build a basic understanding of primary and secondary data and the presentation of data in tables, bar charts, and pie charts. The program was designed as activity-based learning that combines material exposition with a data-generating game and a voting activity, supported by tutor facilitation and an individual ten-item assessment at the end of each session. The activity involved 131 students from four schools, with each meeting lasting approximately 90 minutes. Results show an overall average score of 84.89, with the highest average of 90.87 in one class and the lowest average of 76.25 in another class within the same school, and all class averages exceeding each school's minimum mastery criteria. The findings affirm the effectiveness of activity-based and game-supported approaches for introducing data literacy, while also indicating the need to strengthen prerequisite arithmetic and to differentiate instructional strategies so that outcomes become more even across classes.
Muhammad Fauzan Adzim Hendryati Rahmi Indah Primasdali Muhammad Ferry Mahfudzi Nur Nasywani Srikandi Aristawati Hanny Nur Fatmada Maisarah Maisarah Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Fauzan Adzim, Hendryati Rahmi, Indah Primasdali, Muhammad Ferry Mahfudzi, Nur Nasywani, Srikandi Aristawati Hanny Nur Fatmada, Maisarah Maisarah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-30 2026-01-30 11 Suppl-1 10.33084/pengabdianmu.v11iSuppl-1.10966 Pengenalan Pertanian Modern pada Siswa SMA 1 Godean melalui Pelatihan Kultur Jaringan Tanaman https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10280
SMA Negeri 1 Godean, Sleman, Yogyakarta, has achieved significant academic success, including higher graduation rates and a consistent ranking among the top five high schools in Sleman Regency. This institution is recognized for its students' adherence to established rules and regulations. Consequently, the school aims to enhance its students' understanding by including agriculture, in partnership with the Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. SMA Negeri 1 Godean is equipped with Biology and Chemistry laboratories, along with a greenhouse, to facilitate the introduction and exploration of scientific disciplines. However, the institution lacks the facilities to implement modern agricultural techniques for its students. A modern agrarian approach is the plant tissue culture technology. The challenge at present is that the students of SMA Negeri 1 Godean lack an understanding of agriculture, both in general and in its modern form, and have not had practical experience with plant tissue culture. This service aims to familiarize SMA Negeri 1 Godean students with the science of agriculture and modern agricultural techniques through tissue culture. Efforts to address the partner's issues were implemented through various methods, including general and modern agricultural education, specifically plant tissue culture techniques; practical training in tissue culture methods; the acclimatization of Cavendish bananas; and evaluation. The results of the activities indicate an improvement in students' knowledge and skills following their participation in general and modern agricultural culture, especially in plant tissue culture techniques.
Innaka Ageng Rineksane Etty Handayani Supriyatin Kartika Sari Rani Agustina Wulandari Copyright (c) 2026 Innaka Ageng Rineksane, Etty Handayani, Supriyatin Kartika Sari, Rani Agustina Wulandari https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-31 2026-01-31 11 Suppl-1 S1 S7 10.33084/pengabdianmu.v11iSuppl-1.10280 Dari Lisan ke Tulisan: Penyusunan Modul Tenun untuk Pelestarian Budaya dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Bonen https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10919
This community service program was carried out in Bonen Village, Kupang Regency, aiming to preserve traditional weaving culture while empowering women and young generations. The leading partner of this activity was the Ume Halan Foundation, which mentors the Pasuklo Weaving Community. The primary problems identified were the lack of regeneration of young weavers and the absence of written guidelines for the weaving learning process. The program was implemented through a participatory approach comprising several stages: preparation and socialization; focus group discussions to enrich data; module revision and trials; training on module use; and continuous mentoring and evaluation. The outcome of this program is a locally wisdom–based weaving module that introduces motifs, basic weaving techniques, tools and materials, and the use of natural dyes. The module was produced in both printed and digital formats to ensure accessibility across generations. The training involved approximately 15 elementary school students from SD Inpres Bonen and 12 senior weavers from the Pasuklo Community. The participatory evaluation showed that 80% of participants found the module easy to understand and engaging, and that teachers and local weavers agreed it effectively facilitated intergenerational knowledge transfer. Overall, this program contributes to cultural preservation, women's empowerment, and the revitalization of young weavers in Bonen Village, while strengthening Ume Halan's role as a sustainable community learning center.
Meryani Lakapu Samuel Igo Leton Yuliana Bhara Mberu Antonius Arnoldus Janssen Sau Cindy Ahia Pricilia Benu Copyright (c) 2026 Meryani Lakapu, Samuel Igo Leton, Yuliana Bhara Mberu, Antonius Arnoldus Janssen Sau, Cindy Ahia Pricilia Benu https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-30 2026-01-30 11 Suppl-1 10.33084/pengabdianmu.v11iSuppl-1.10919 Praktik Pembuatan Ekoenzim dalam Upaya Menstimulus Pengetahuan dan Peduli Lingkungan pada Siswa SMP https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/9259
This community service aims to equip students and teachers of SMP IT Khoiru Ummah Rejang Lebong with knowledge about managing school gardens using household waste through ecoenzymes, natural boosters, and POC. This school has a large area of underutilized land, especially for organic waste management. Household waste is not managed correctly, and most of it is disposed of in landfills, even though it can be processed into valuable products. Converting organic waste into eco-enzymes is expected to reduce waste and create a greener, more environmentally friendly school ecosystem. This training was carried out from April to December 2024, by using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, divided into three stages: exploration, provision of materials and practice, and evaluation. The evaluation's student response data show that around 61% of students demonstrated excellent knowledge, 30% good, and 9% sufficient. The level of concern for the environment was very high. The success of this activity was measured by the level of participation and enthusiasm among participants, which reflected the objectives of community service: increasing awareness and skills in waste management. Further evaluation is needed to assess the long-term impacts and to determine how this activity can be implemented outside of school, thereby providing benefits to the surrounding community.
Bhakti Karyadi Aceng Ruyani Afrizal Mayub Deni Parlindungan Bambang Prayogo Copyright (c) 2026 Bhakti Karyadi, Aceng Ruyani, Afrizal Mayub, Deni Parlindungan, Bambang Prayogo https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-30 2026-01-30 11 Suppl-1 10.33084/pengabdianmu.v11iSuppl-1.9259 Peningkatan Kompetensi Pajak dengan Pelatihan Perhitungan PPh 21 Berbasis Tarif Efektif Rata-rata pada Guru Akuntansi SMK di Kota Yogyakarta https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10871
Income Tax (PPh) Article 21 is an essential aspect of financial administration that educators in accounting, particularly vocational high school (SMK) teachers, must master. However, many accounting teachers still struggle to understand the latest calculation methods, especially the application of the Average Effective Rate (TER) in line with the most recent tax regulations. This lack of understanding may lead to errors in teaching students and in practical application in the workplace. Therefore, systematic and practical training is needed to enhance accounting teachers' competence in calculating PPh 21 using the TER method. This training aims to improve teachers' understanding of PPh 21 and TER, provide practice in accurately calculating PPh 21 using TER, and assist in developing teaching materials relevant to industry needs. Through an applied approach, teachers are expected to become more confident in teaching taxation to students, thereby enabling SMK graduates to gain a firmer grasp of taxation. The expected outcomes of this training include improving teachers' competence in calculating PPh 21 with TER, producing a training module as a teaching guide, and publishing an article in a community service journal based on the training results. With this activity, it is expected that the quality of tax accounting education in vocational high schools will improve, bringing long-term benefits to both educators and students.
Nurul Hidayah Sukirno Sukirno Ponty Sya'banto Putra Hutama Fitria Ningrum Sayekti Copyright (c) 2026 Nurul Hidayah, Sukirno Sukirno, Ponty Sya'banto Putra Hutama, Fitria Ningrum Sayekti https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-30 2026-01-30 11 Suppl-1 10.33084/pengabdianmu.v11iSuppl-1.10871 Diversifikasi Olahan Berbasis Ikan Hasil Tangkapan Kelompok Nelayan Berkah Bersama di Desa tumbang Nusa https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10851
Tumbang Nusa Village is a government area located in Jabiren Raya Subdistrict, Pulang Pisau Regency. Based on its governmental structure, Tumbang Nusa Village is led by a Village Head. The village has four neighborhood associations (RT), and the main livelihood of Tumbang Nusa Village's residents is traditional fishing. The fish caught include gabus, patin, toman, and kerandang. Through this village empowerment program, one economically productive community group is involved, namely the Bekah Bersama fishermen's group. The fishing group involved consists of women who work as fishermen daily, selling their catch as fresh fish. This often causes losses for the fishermen because the fresh fish does not always sell out, so they have to bring it back to be salted and dried. This activity introduces fish-based product diversification. Women fishermen are taught skills to make processed products such as fish balls, fish nuggets, and fish floss, and are also trained in packaging these products. The group of women fishermen responded positively to the technological innovations provided. All members of the group have practiced making fish balls, fish nuggets, and fish floss, as well as packaging the products. However, there is still untapped local potential, including establishing links between fishing activities, to provide a circular economy that benefits the community of Tumbang Nusa Village.

Elyta Vivi Yanti Asro Laelani Indrayanti Yos Andy Tangkasiang Ajeng Nur Aini Rusmiyanti Rusmiyanti Copyright (c) 2026 Elyta Vivi Yanti, Asro Laelani Indrayanti, Yos Andy Tangkasiang, Ajeng Nur Aini, Rusmiyanti Rusmiyanti https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-30 2026-01-30 11 Suppl-1 10.33084/pengabdianmu.v11iSuppl-1.10851 Implementasi Program “MEMASUNG” (Oral Motor Exercise, Massage, Susu Jagung) terhadap Kader Stunting Puskesmas Tirto, Kota Pekalongan https://journal.umpr.ac.id/index.php/pengabdianmu/article/view/10695
The stunting management program in the working area of the Tirto Health Center in Pekalongan City has not been comprehensive. The high incidence of stunting in Pekalongan, the limited training of cadres in stunting prevention and handling, and the lack of innovation in providing additional food for stunted toddlers are crucial problems identified. This service activity was carried out to accelerate the reduction in stunting rates by empowering 21 stunting cadres in the Tirto Health Center's work area in Pekalongan City. The activity lasted for four months and was carried out in three stages: partner socialization, implementation of activities, and monitoring, evaluation, and follow-up. The implementation of activities included education and early detection of stunting, oral-motor exercises and baby massage training, and demonstrations on making corn milk as an additional food for stunted toddlers. Documentation can help data become more understandable and unambiguous. An effective visualization can strengthen the credibility of the data, facilitate readers' or audiences' understanding of the research context, and support the validity of field or laboratory observations. Based on initial observations and informal interviews with several final-year students, it was found that most lacked basic photography skills, especially in scientific documentation. Therefore, a photography technique coaching clinic was conducted by the Community Service Team, the Agrotechnology Student Association of Palangka Raya University, and the Indonesian Phytopathology Association of Central Kalimantan Regional Command. The aim was to improve students' knowledge and skills in scientific documentation photography. The method used was blended learning (theory and direct practice), along with pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The training results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of basic photography techniques. Knowledge of photo composition increased to 87.8%, the use of light and shooting angles to 96.9%, optimal use of photographic equipment to 90.3%, and the preparation of visual documentation in research reports to 86.2%. This indicates that participants no longer view photography as merely a supplement but as an integral part of the process of recording data, analyzing, and presenting results scientifically and communicatively.
Rahmawati Budi Mulyani Melhanah Melhanah Yanetri Asi Adrianson Agus Djaya Dewi Saraswati Pandriyani Pandriyani Vinsen Willi Wardhana Suhardi Suhardi Julia Nanda Suryani Arnoldus J. Overcrowded environments, such as Islamic boarding schools, pose a higher risk for the spread of DHF. In addition to environmental factors, anemia in adolescents also increases susceptibility to infection. Therefore, education on DHF prevention and hemoglobin (Hb) screening is essential as promotive and preventive measures. This activity aimed to raise students' awareness of the importance of maintaining environmental hygiene and to identify hemoglobin status as part of early detection of vulnerability to DHF infection. The program was conducted at Darul Falah Al-Hasyimiyah Islamic Boarding School, Semarang, involving 50 adolescent students. Interventions included interactive counseling on DHF prevention, knowledge evaluation through pre-test and post-test, and Hb measurement using a digital Hb meter. Results showed a significant improvement in students' knowledge, with mean pre-test and post-test scores of 46 and 92, respectively (p<0.05). Hb screening revealed that 64% of participants had Hb levels below normal (mean 10.8±1.2 g/dL), indicating a high prevalence of anemia among students. These findings highlight the need for nutritional interventions, balanced diet education, and regular health monitoring. In conclusion, this activity effectively enhanced students' awareness of DHF prevention while simultaneously identifying anemia status. This model can be duplicated in similar areas as a promotional and preventive strategy against environmentally based infectious diseases.
