The Editorial Board of Arathia: Journal of Islamic Elementary Education and Culture Based Education recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable and establishes the following policy stating specific actions, including penalties, when plagiarism is identified in an article submitted for publication in Arathia: Journal of Islamic Elementary Education and Culture Based Education.

Papers must be original, unpublished, and not pending publication elsewhere. Any material taken verbatim from another source needs to be clearly identified as different from the present original text by (1) indentation, (2) use of quotation marks, and (3) identification of the source. Exceptions are given for papers sourced from institutional repositories as a student's final project (thesis or dissertation) that have not been published in scientific media with an ISSN or ISBN.

Any text of an amount exceeding fair use standards (herein defined as more than two or three sentences or the equivalent thereof) or any graphic material reproduced from another source requires permission from the copyright holder and, if feasible, the original author(s), as well as explicit identification of the source (e.g., previous publication).

Submitted manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism using Plagiarism Checker X Professional. A maximum similarity threshold of 20% is allowed.

In certain cases where the results of similarity checks show doubtful or borderline results (close to the established limit), a secondary examination will be carried out using Turnitin, maintaining the same maximum similarity limit of 20%.
