Hubungan Kualitas Tidur dan Kadar Gula Darah Puasa Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus di Rumah Sakit Ibnu Sina Makassar

Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) merupakan penyakit metabolik yang umum di seluruh dunia, termasuk di Indonesia, dengan prevalensi yang terus meningkat. Kadar glukosa darah yang tinggi pada penderita DM sering disebabkan oleh resistensi insulin dan gangguan sekresi insulin. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi pengelolaan DM adalah kualitas tidur, yang diketahui dapat mempengaruhi kadar glukosa darah puasa (GDP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kualitas tidur dan kadar GDP pada pasien DM di Rumah Sakit Ibnu Sina Makassar. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian analitik observasional dengan desain cross-sectional yang melibatkan 36 pasien DM yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Kualitas tidur diukur menggunakan kuisioner Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), dan kadar GDP diukur menggunakan glukometer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 75% pasien mengalami kualitas tidur yang buruk, dengan 55,6% pasien memiliki kadar GDP yang tidak terkontrol (≥126 mg/dL). Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Chi-square menunjukkan hubungan signifikan antara kualitas tidur dan kadar GDP (p-value 0,049), di mana pasien dengan kualitas tidur baik memiliki kontrol gula darah yang lebih baik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kualitas tidur merupakan faktor penting dalam pengelolaan diabetes, dan memperbaiki kualitas tidur dapat membantu meningkatkan kontrol glikemik pada pasien. Oleh karena itu, intervensi yang fokus pada perbaikan kualitas tidur, seperti manajemen stres dan kebiasaan tidur sehat, harus menjadi bagian dari strategi pengelolaan diabetes.
