As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
This paper is the result of research or a critical analysis of studies in the field of Islamic Education. Manuscripts must be written in Indonesian or English using the Garamond 12 pt font, in a single column with 1.15 line spacing, on A4 paper with top and bottom margins of 2.5 cm and left and right margins of 1.5 cm. Manuscripts must be typed using MS Word, following the provided template, and saved in .doc or .docx format. Manuscripts must be typed strictly in accordance with the following rules:
a. Title: Concise and clear, written in both Indonesian and English. The title must not exceed 20 words.
b. Authors: Listed without mentioning academic titles or qualifications; below the names, include affiliations and full addresses, as well as the email address of the corresponding author.
c. Abstract: written in both Indonesian and English, summarising the article. The abstract must be a single paragraph of no more than 250 words, using Garamond 11 pt font, single-column layout, and single spacing.
d. Introduction: background, rationale for the research or underlying hypothesis, general approach and research objectives, as well as a relevant literature review. There is no limit on the number of paragraphs, but the content must cover the background, objectives, position in relation to previous research, and the novelty of the research. A brief theoretical basis indirectly related to the content of the article may be included without a sub-section. Citations of more than one author should be written as ‘et al.’.
e. Methodology: The research methodology consists of two sub-sections, including instruments and materials, and methods.If the data analysis is specific, or the method of analysis is novel, a sub-section on data analysis may be included. Sub-sections should be written without numbering or bullet points.
f. The Results and Discussion section must contain at least three main points: (1) a description of the results, (2) an interpretation or explanation of the results, and (3) a comparison of the results with those of previous studies. If a sub-section is very long, sub-sub-sections may be created using Arabic numerals. The description of results may take the form of tables and figures with serial numbers (tables use Roman numerals and are placed above, whilst figures use Arabic numerals and are placed below).
g. Conclusions, written in a single paragraph without quotations, contain the final conclusions and suggestions for further research.
h. References: a list of the most recent selected publications from the last 5 years (at least 75 per cent of a minimum of 30 references). The reference list is arranged in chronological alphabetical order without serial numbers (Vancouver style), and the use of reference management software such as EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero and other similar applications is recommended.
