Posted on 2026-02-23Mitsaqan Ghalizan: Journal of Family Law and Islamic Legal Thought invites scholars, researchers, practitioners, and graduate students to submit their original manuscripts for publication in the June 2026 edition. The journal welcomes high-quality research articles and conceptual papers that explore contemporary developments, critical debates, and reform initiatives in Islamic family law and broader Islamic legal thought.
Starting from this edition, Mitsaqan Ghalizan will officially publish all articles in English as part of its commitment to internationalization and to strengthening its contribution to global academic discourse. We encourage submissions that address, but are not limited to, Islamic family law, comparative family law in Muslim countries, marriage and divorce reform, inheritance law, gender and legal reform, child protection, maqāṣid al-sharīʿah in family law, fatwas and judicial decisions, socio-legal perspectives on Muslim family practices, codification of Islamic law, and contemporary challenges in Islamic legal thought.
All submissions must be original works that have not been published or submitted elsewhere. Manuscripts will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality and integrity. The deadline for submission is April 2026, and accepted papers will be published in June 2026. We warmly invite contributors from around the world to participate in this edition and contribute to advancing scholarly discussions on Islamic family law in a global context.
