Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa Kertojayan melalui Sosialisasi Pemanfaatan Daun Jambu Kristal menjadi Teh Celup Bernilai Ekonomi Empowerment of Kertojayan Village Community through Socialization of Utilizing Crystal Guava Leaves into Economically Valuable Teabags

Abstract
This community service program was carried out in Kertojayan Village, Grabag District, Purworejo Regency, to enhance the community's economic independence by utilizing guava (Psidium guajava L. 'Crystal') leaves to produce economically valuable tea bags. The potential of crystal guava in the village has so far been limited to its fruit, while its leaves remain underutilized. Through socialization and participatory training activities, the community was introduced to the bioactive compounds in guava leaves and to processing techniques for producing ready-to-consume herbal tea products. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method, emphasizing active community participation in every stage of the program, including local potential observation, material delivery, processing demonstrations, and reflective discussions. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding of the benefits of crystal guava leaves and their technical skills in drying, packaging, and labeling the products. The community also demonstrated strong enthusiasm for independent production as a form of household business innovation. This activity had a positive impact on economic awareness, social collaboration, and the sustainable development of village potential. Overall, the program serves as an example of community empowerment through agricultural product innovation, aimed at increasing economic value-added and strengthening the rural creative economy.
