Abstract
This community service program aims to strengthen Al-Ihsan Mosque's social function by distributing food aid packages and providing family counseling services to underprivileged households in the Sukun Pondok Indah housing complex, Malang City. The program employed the Asset-Based Community Driven Development (ABCD) approach, which emphasizes the utilization of local assets and community potential as the foundation for empowerment activities. The implementation followed six stages: discovery, dream, design, define, destiny, and reflection; to ensure that the program addressed actual community needs while promoting the active involvement of key stakeholders, including mosque administrators and local religious figures. The results indicate that distributing free food packages door-to-door to 30 beneficiary families had a significant positive impact on alleviating their economic burden while fostering stronger social connections among the implementation team, mosque administrators, and residents. The integrated family counseling services also received positive responses, as they provided opportunities for personal dialogue about the social, religious, and emotional challenges households faced. The ABCD approach proved effective in encouraging community participation and in reaffirming the mosque's role as a center of social empowerment. This initiative highlights the importance of structured, sustainable, and community-driven social service models in optimizing the mosque's role in addressing contemporary social issues.
