Abstract

The development of information technology systems in rural tourism areas is crucial for supporting environmentally friendly tourism. Siblarak Tourism, which promotes nature and culture, has begun using hotspot internet services for promotions, visitor services, and digital activities. However, hotspot network management remains challenging due to a shortage of personnel, particularly for bandwidth management, which affects the quality of internet services. This study aims to examine community empowerment efforts in strengthening local capacity for hotspot bandwidth management. The method used is a participatory approach with several steps, including observation, technical training, mentoring, and evaluation. The results of these activities indicate that the community is increasingly understanding of and skilled at managing bandwidth, allocating user access, and ensuring the quality of internet services. This increased workforce capacity is expected to help the community become independent in sustainably managing digital tourism infrastructure.
