Pelatihan Penerapan Langkah-Langkah Penulisan Karya Ilmiah Secara Sistematis sebagai Upaya Penguatan Literasi Akademik Training on the Application of Systematic Steps in Writing Scientific Papers as an Effort to Strengthen Academic Literacy
Main Article Content
Abstract
This community service program addresses limited academic writing literacy among participants, characterized by difficulties with topic focus, manuscript structure, articulation of research gaps, and citation consistency. The program was conducted online using a process-based training approach that integrated interactive lectures, step-by-step exercises, practical examples, and discussion–reflection sessions. The training covered pre-writing strategies, credible literature searching, manuscript outlining, IMRaD structure, and reference management. Observations during the activities indicated active participant engagement, improved understanding of the stages of systematic writing, clearer differentiation of article sections, and increased awareness of academic ethics through more consistent citation practices. Participants also demonstrated better ability to organize ideas and develop coherent outlines aligned with scholarly conventions. These findings confirm that a structured, step-by-step training model supported by feedback effectively strengthens academic writing literacy. However, online delivery limited individual mentoring and quantitative measurement of improvement. Future programs should incorporate pre–post assessments, draft evaluation rubrics, and sustained writing clinics to ensure measurable outputs, such as manuscripts ready for dissemination or journal submission.
