Main Article Content
Abstract
Advances in coding and artificial intelligence (AI) require teachers to possess adaptable digital competencies. However, many junior high school teachers in Purbalingga Regency still face challenges in integrating these technologies due to a lack of structured training. This community service project aims to enhance the coding and artificial intelligence competencies of 31 junior high school teachers from various schools in Purbalingga Regency through a phased training model (IN 1-OJT-IN 2). The methods employed include concept reinforcement, implementation mentoring, and reflection based on an online learning management system. Evaluation was conducted using standardized instruments (pre-test and post-test) and an assessment of the learning materials produced. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in competency, with an average score increase from 21.83 (pre-test) to 97.55 (post-test). The novelty of this community service lies in the use of a continuous mentoring model that integrates AI ethics into coding pedagogy, which has proven effective in transforming technical understanding into real learning practices in schools.
