Main Article Content
Abstract
Maternal mental health serves as a fundamental pillar of family resilience; however, the prevailing "double burden" often triggers chronic stress. This community service program aims to enhance stress management literacy and skills among the PKK Dahlia 2 group in Tirtomartani Village, Sleman. The primary issue identified is a lack of practical understanding regarding adaptive coping mechanisms for mothers facing domestic and social pressures. The method employed is an educative-participatory approach through stress management counseling, demonstrations, and skill training in positive affirmations and deep-breathing relaxation techniques. The activity was conducted on September 17, 2025, with 38 participants, and evaluation samples were selected via stratified random sampling. Program effectiveness was measured by comparing pre-test and post-test scores using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results indicate a significant increase in knowledge scores, with the mean value rising from 32.33 to 36.00. Statistical analysis yielded an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.003 (p < 0.05), proving that the combined intervention effectively improved participants' cognitive understanding and practical skills. Furthermore, the decrease in standard deviation reflects a more homogeneous distribution of comprehension following the intervention. This program concludes that integrating psychological education and technical training fosters PKK members' independence in managing stress. It is expected that this program will be sustained through a peer-support system to cultivate a holistically healthy family environment.
