Abstract

High school students often face difficulties in deciding what to do after completing their secondary education. This is due to a limited understanding of their own potential, both strengths and weaknesses, as well as uncertainty about their future choices. Students also tend to be easily influenced by their peers and inaccurate information from social media. The main objective of this community service activity is to help students recognize their potential, understand life choices accurately, and make decisions as prospective priests. The method employed is participatory and reflective training, encompassing material presentation, group discussions, personal reflection, group sharing, and completion of decision-making worksheets with guidance from teachers and resource persons. Participants consisted of 28 Class XI students at SMA Seminari Sinar Buana Weetebula. Training outcomes showed all participants were capable of making objective decisions and completing the provided decision worksheets. Evaluation questionnaires indicated improved posttest scores compared to pretest, with participants rating the material as clear and relevant, the methods as effective, the activities as beneficial, and the training as impactful for objective decision-making. This activity helps enhance students' independence in making appropriate decisions among various life alternatives.
