Pelatihan Pembuatan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Augmented Reality Menggunakan Assemblr Edu bagi Guru SD Muhammadiyah Danaraja Introduction and Practice of Augmented Reality-Based Learning Media Using Assemblr Edu for Teachers at SD Muhammadiyah Danaraja
Main Article Content
Abstract
SD Muhammadiyah Danaraja, located in Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java, is an A-accredited elementary school with adequate facilities and internet access that support technology-based learning. However, teachers still tend to rely on conventional instructional media such as PowerPoint presentations and textbooks, resulting in limited variation in content delivery and a lack of alignment with the characteristics of digital-native students. This condition creates a gap in digital literacy, in which many abstract concepts are difficult for students to understand due to the lack of meaningful connections to real-world experiences. To address this issue, this community service program offers training in developing Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media using Assemblr Edu. This platform was selected for its user-friendly nature, lack of reliance on programming skills, and accessibility on both mobile devices and computers. The training was designed in three stages: (1) introduction to AR concepts and motivational sessions, (2) hands-on practice in developing AR learning media resulting in at least one ready-to-use product, and (3) mentoring and reflection through simulated classroom implementation. A participatory training approach was employed to encourage active teacher engagement. The activities included preparation and pre-testing, basic and advanced workshops, guided independent practice, and the presentation of outcomes and evaluation. The results show an increase in teachers' understanding of the concepts and applications of Augmented Reality in learning, with the average score rising from 56.4 on the pre-test to 84.1 on the post-test.
