Pengobatan Gratis dan Edukasi Obat Rasional Saat Berpuasa di Desa Tri Mulya Jaya sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Kualitas Hidup Free Medical Check-up and Education on the Rational Use of Medicines During Fasting in Tri Mulya Jaya Village as an Effort to Improve the Quality of Life

Abstract
Public knowledge about the use of medication during fasting is still inadequate. Therefore, information and education about the rational use of medication during fasting are crucial to ensure that the medication consumed continues to provide maximum effectiveness without posing risks or negative impacts on the body. Medical check-ups are also important for detecting degenerative diseases, including blood pressure checks, blood sugar levels, uric acid levels, and cholesterol levels. The purpose of this community service program was to increase public awareness of the importance of regular health check-ups at nearby health facilities and to support the community in carrying out fasting without disrupting ongoing medical therapy. Community service consists of two sessions: education on the rational use of medication during fasting and free treatment, as well as a medical check-up. A total of 40 participants took part in the pre-test and post-test. The average pre-test score of 55.8 increased to 74.3 in the post-test, with the score range improving from 40–70 to 70–90. These results indicate an increase in public knowledge after receiving the educational intervention. The community showed great enthusiasm in participating in this program. In addition to reducing the financial burden of medical treatment, the program also provided easier and more affordable access to health services, which are crucial for community well-being. This community service program was successfully implemented, resulting in a significant improvement in public understanding. The participants also suggested that the program should be continued with more diverse health-related topics in the future
