Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis blended learning pada mata pelajaran IPS dikelas VIII di SMP Mhammadiyah Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini terdiri tas dua subfokus yaitu pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis blended learning dan penerapan blended learning tersebut pada mata pelajaran IPS.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 11 orang terdiri dari 1 orang guru mata pelajaran IPS, dan 10 peserta didik.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada masa pandemi seperti ini sudah diterapkan oleh sekolah dan dinilai efektif oleh guru dan juga peserta didik. (2) peserta didik lebih tertarik dengan pembelajaran blended learning dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran E-learning. (3) banyak manfaat yang didapatkan peserta didik pada saat pelaksanaan pembelajaran blended learning.
