Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran diagnostic terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada peserta didik kelas VSDN 4 Menteng Palangka Raya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh penggunaan model Untuk membuktikanpembelajaran diagnostic terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik kelas VSDN 4 Menteng Palangka Raya, hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil perhitungan yang diperoleh thitung sebesar 17,87 selanjutnya di konsultasikan dengan tabel pada taraf signifikan 5% dengan db N-1=10 - 1= 9 yaitu sebesar 2,262, maka t hitung > t table. Dengan demikian koefisien t hitung sebesar 17,87 adalah signifikan pada pada taraf signifikan 5%. Atas dasar perhitungan tersebut maka hipotesis alternatif Ha yang berbunyi Model pengajaran diagnostik berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampaun membaca pemahamanpeserta didik kelas V SDN 4 Menteng Palangka Raya Tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 diterima. Sedangkan H0 yang berbunyi “ model pengajaran diagnostik tidak berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampaun membaca pemahaman peserta didik kelas V SDN 4 Menteng Palangka Raya Tahun pelajaran 2017/2018” ditolak.
