Abstract
Increasing economic needs have prompted people to seek additional income outside of their salaries, with investment being one option that requires financial literacy, investment experience, and adequate risk tolerance to avoid risks such as fraud and data leaks. This community service activity aims to provide an understanding of personal financial management, especially for students and teachers at SMAK St. Aloysius Palangka Raya, the majority of whom come from underprivileged families and depend on donations for their daily needs and education. A total of 159 participants, consisting of 137 students and 12 teachers, took part in this training, which introduced the basics of wise and independent financial management, emphasizing the importance of financial planning, preventing consumptive behavior, introducing alternative financial management options according to individual circumstances, and building a strong financial foundation from an early age. The program was conducted through lectures in three parallel classes, group discussions, and simulations using fintech applications to train participants in budgeting, saving, understanding emergency funds, and learning the basics of investing. With this training, participants are expected to make wiser financial decisions, improve their quality of life, and help break the cycle of poverty.
