Abstract

The growing need for financial literacy among young people highlights the importance of strengthening vocational high school students' understanding of capital market mechanisms as an investment channel in the digital economy era. Limited student understanding of capital market instruments, combined with the rise of illegal investment schemes targeting students through social media, underlies the urgency of this community service activity. The program aims to improve SMKN 4 Bandar Lampung students' understanding of basic capital market concepts, types of investment instruments, stock trading mechanisms, and how to recognize and avoid illegal investment offers. The activity was carried out through interactive lectures, group discussions, and simulated use of a digital investment gallery application, involving eleventh-grade students from the Accounting and Financial Institutions and Online Business and Marketing programs. Training effectiveness was measured through a comprehension questionnaire administered before and after the session. The results show an improvement in students' understanding across nearly all indicators of capital market investment literacy, particularly in recognition of investment instruments, securities account opening procedures, and awareness of fraudulent investment schemes. This improvement indicates that a contextual and applied educational approach effectively equips vocational students with adequate investment literacy from an early stage, supporting the growth of informed and responsible young investors amid digital economic development.
