Revitalisasi Metode Ambul sebagai Teknologi Konservasi Sumberdaya Perairan Berbasis Masyarakat di Danau Lutan

Abstract
Danau Lutan memiliki potensi perikanan yang cukup tinggi dengan kelimpahan dan keanekaragaman ikan yang relatif besar. Akan tetapi danau oxbow ini mengalami invasi gulma air mengapung berakibat pendangkalan arah serta banyak limbah kayu. Inovasi ambul adalah upaya untuk mengurangi pencemaran fisik tersebut dengan cara memberdayakannya menjadi media tanam palawija, yang bernilai ekonomi bagi masyrakat. Model ambul dibuat bersama masyarakat dalam rangka kegiatan inovasi bagi masyarakat (IbM), dengan memanfaatkan kumpulan tumbuhan air mengapung, mayoritas eceng gondok menjadi media tanam, dengan masa inkubasi sekitar 30 hari. Kegiatan partisipatif ini menghasilkan 2 buah demplot ambul ditanami tanaman sayuran palawija. Metode ini mampu mengurangi luas gulma air hingga tiga kali luas media tanam serta menjadi media pertanian organik terapung. Ambul juga terbukti relevan dengan prinsip pembangunan berkelanjutan dan dapat menjadi solusi konservasi perairan daratan berbasis kearifan lokal.
