Narrative Review : Factors that Influence the Level of Treatment Compliance in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients

Latar belakang : Diabetes melitus merupakan penyakit kronis yang ditandai dengan terjadinya hiperglikemia dan memerlukan terapi dalam jangka waktu yang panjang. Ketidakpatuhan merupakan faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi keberhasilan terapi. Komplikasi dan peningkatan rawat inap merupakan akibat dari terjadinya ketidakpatuhan pada terapi. Konseling merupakan upaya yang dapat dilakukan oleh farmasis dalam meningkatkan kepatuhan. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian konseling terhadap kepatuhan pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2. Metodologi : Narrative review yang dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2023 dengan pencarian literatur pada google schoolar dengan kriteria inklusi review article, research article, case control study, cross sectional study,pre-experimental serta dapat diakses secara free full text yang terbit pada rentang waktu 2018 hingga 2023. Hasil : Faktor individual, ekonomi, penyakit, terkait obat serta sosial ekonomi dapat mempengaruhi tingkat kepatuhan pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2. Kesimpulan: lupa minum obat merupakan faktor terbanyak terkait dengan tingkat kepatuhan terapi yang rendah yang berkaitan dengan pertambahan usia. Faktor lain yang juga dapat mempengaruhi kepatuhan seperti terkait penyakit dan obat.
